God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness to the person who pleases him. But to a sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth. Then the sinner must hand it over to the one who pleases God. That doesn’t have any meaning either. It’s like chasing the wind.

神喜悦谁，就给谁智慧、知识，和喜乐；惟有罪人，神使他劳苦，叫他将所收聚的、所堆积的归给神所喜悦的人。这也是虚空，也是捕风。

上帝所悅者、賜以智慧歡樂、若惡人則勞苦之、以其所積貨財、賜於善良、凡百之事、無非捕風捉影、以此益見矣。

天主所悅者、賜以智慧、知識、歡樂、獲罪於天主者、天主則畀以收斂積蓄之任、終歸於天主所悅者用、此亦屬於虛、亦如捕風、

To the person who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.

For to the one who pleases him God has given wisdom and knowledge and joy, but to the sinner he has given the business of gathering and collecting, only to give to one who pleases God. This also is vanity and a striving after wind.

God gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy to those who please him. But if a sinner becomes wealthy, God takes the wealth away and gives it to those who please him. This, too, is meaningless— like chasing the wind.

For to the person who is pleasing in his sight, he gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy; but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and accumulating in order to give to the one who is pleasing in God’s sight. This too is futile and a pursuit of the wind.

For to a person who is good in His sight, He has given wisdom and knowledge and joy, while to the sinner He has given the task of gathering and collecting so that he may give to one who is good in God’s sight. This too is futility and striving after wind.

For God gives wisdom and knowledge and joy to a man who is good in His sight; but to the sinner He gives the work of gathering and collecting, that he may give to him who is good before God. This also is vanity and grasping for the wind.

For to the one who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy, but to the sinner, he gives the task of amassing wealth– only to give it to the one who pleases God. This task of the wicked is futile– like chasing the wind!

For to the man who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy; but to the sinner he gives travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him who pleases God. This also is vanity and a chasing after wind.

A good person leaves what they own to their children and grandchildren. But a sinner’s wealth is stored up for those who do right.

Sinners might store up silver like dust and clothes like piles of clay.But people who do what is right will wear those clothes. People who haven’t done anything wrong will divide up that silver.

Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask, and you will receive what you ask for. Then your joy will be complete.

Tell those who do what is right that things will go well with them. They will enjoy the results of the good things they’ve done.But how terrible it will be for those who do what is evil! Trouble is about to fall on them. They will be paid back for the evil things they’ve done.

Someone might get rich by taking interest or profit from poor people. But that person only piles up wealth for someone who will be kind to poor people.

That’s what Hezekiah did all through Judah. He did what was good and right. He was faithful to the Lord his God.He tried to obey his God. He worked for him with all his heart. That’s the way he worked in everything he did to serve God’s temple. He obeyed the law. He followed the Lord’ s commands. So he had success.

Blessed is the one who finds wisdom. Blessed is the one who gains understanding.Wisdom pays better than silver does. She earns more than gold does.She is worth more than rubies. Nothing you want can compare with her.Long life is in her right hand. In her left hand are riches and honor.Her ways are pleasant ways. All her paths lead to peace.She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her. Those who hold her close will be blessed.

Because of what God has done, you belong to Christ Jesus. He has become God’s wisdom for us. He makes us right with God. He makes us holy and sets us free.It is written,“ The one who boasts should boast about what the Lord has done.”( Jeremiah 9:24)

Both of them did what was right in the sight of God. They obeyed all the Lord’s commands and rules faithfully.

Then the Lord said to Noah,“ Go into the ark with your whole family. I know that you are a godly man among the people of today.

Let the message about Christ live among you like a rich treasure. Teach and correct one another wisely. Teach one another by singing psalms and hymns and songs from the Spirit. Sing to God with thanks in your hearts.Do everything you say or do in the name of the Lord Jesus. Always give thanks to God the Father through Christ.

That’s why we have not stopped praying for you. We have been praying for you since the day we heard about you. We keep asking God to fill you with the knowledge of what he wants. We pray he will give you the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives.Then you will be able to lead a life that is worthy of the Lord. We pray that you will please him in every way. So we want you to bear fruit in every good thing you do. We pray that you will grow to know God better.We want you to be very strong, in keeping with his glorious power. We want you to be patient. We pray that you will never give up.We want you to give thanks with joy to the Father. He has made you fit to have what he will give to all his holy people. You will all receive a share in the kingdom of light.

God’s kingdom is not about eating or drinking. It is about doing what is right and having peace and joy. All this comes through the Holy Spirit.Those who serve Christ in this way are pleasing to God. They are pleasing to people too.

But the fruit the Holy Spirit produces is love, joy and peace. It is being patient, kind and good. It is being faithfuland gentle and having control of oneself. There is no law against things of that kind.

But the wisdom that comes from heaven is pure. That’s the most important thing about it. And that’s not all. It also loves peace. It thinks about others. It obeys. It is full of mercy and good fruit. It is fair. It doesn’t pretend to be what it is not.

But the spirit in people gives them understanding. The breath of the Mighty One gives them wisdom.

I’ve seen what is done on this earth. All of it is meaningless. It’s like chasing the wind.
