若言人既勞碌、莫若以食以飲、安享其樂、我又見其權在乎天主、

人莫强如吃喝，且在劳碌中享福，我看这也是出于神的手。

爾莫若以欣喜食爾之餅、以歡心飲爾之酒、因天主已悅爾之所為、爾之衣恆當潔白、爾之首勿缺香膏、天主賜爾在日下生存之日、皆虛浮無幾、爾莫若同所愛之妻、歡然度日、因爾生存之時、在日下勞碌所得之分惟此、

惟當食於主爾天主之前、在主爾天主所選之處、爾與子女奴婢、及居於爾邑中之利未人俱可食之、爾無論所為之事、皆當宴樂於主爾天主之前、

昔我在以弗所、與獸鬥、若僅似常人、有何益哉、

後將自謂我心心原文作靈曰、我心心原文作靈歟、今有多物、為多年之用、可安然飲食歡樂、惟天主謂之曰、愚者乎、今夜將索爾靈、則所備者歸於誰、

爾與子女奴婢、及居爾邑中在爾間無分無業之利未人、俱喜樂於主爾天主之前、

雖然、天主未嘗不顯明據、為己作證、即以善待人、自天降雨、使果生以時、賜我飲食贏餘、滿心喜悅、

有人天主賜之貲財產業尊榮、心之所欲、毫無所缺、惟天主不使之能享、他人享之、此亦屬於虛、實為大患、

少者乎、爾幼時可欣喜、爾在幼年心可歡悅、行爾心所欲行之道、視爾目所欲視者、惟當知天主、必為此一切審鞫爾、故當心除憂忿、身離惡事、惡事或作有損之事因幼年速逝如晨、皆屬於虛、因幼年速逝如晨皆屬於虛或作因幼年髮黑之時皆屬於虛
