甚至人害怕高處，害怕道路上的危險；杏樹開花，蚱蜢蹣跚，人的性慾衰退；因為人歸向自己永遠的家，哀哭的人在街道上繞行。

登高則恐懼、行路則悚惶、杏樹放葩、蝗蟲體重、酸豆失其補力、人歸永居之所、弔者往來於衢、

不敢登高、行於途中亦多畏葸、以杏核為可厭、以蟿蟲為重物、生平嗜好、百無一存、人歸窀穸、哀者行於衢。

畏登高處、行於途亦多驚懼、以杏核為可厭、以蝗蟲為重物、口腹之欲悉廢、將歸永居之所、不久哀者隨行於衢、

when people are afraid of heights and of dangers in the streets; when the almond tree blossoms and the grasshopper drags itself along and desire no longer is stirred. Then people go to their eternal home and mourners go about the streets.

Remember your Creator before you become afraid of places that are too high. You will also be terrified because of danger in the streets. Remember your Creator before the almond trees have buds on them. That’s when grasshoppers will drag themselves along. Old people will lose their desire. That’s when people will go to their dark homes in the grave. And those who mourn for the dead will walk around in the streets.

they are afraid also of what is high, and terrors are in the way; the almond tree blossoms, the grasshopper drags itself along, and desire fails, because man is going to his eternal home, and the mourners go about the streets—

Remember him before you become fearful of falling and worry about danger in the streets; before your hair turns white like an almond tree in bloom, and you drag along without energy like a dying grasshopper, and the caperberry no longer inspires sexual desire. Remember him before you near the grave, your everlasting home, when the mourners will weep at your funeral.

Furthermore, people are afraid of a high place and of terrors on the road; the almond tree blossoms, the grasshopper drags itself along, and the caper berry is ineffective. For man goes to his eternal home while the mourners move around in the street.

Also they are afraid of height, And of terrors in the way; When the almond tree blossoms, The grasshopper is a burden, And desire fails. For man goes to his eternal home, And the mourners go about the streets.

If I await Sheol as my home, spread out my bed in darkness,

Yes, I know that You will lead me to death— the place appointed for all who live.

This is what the Lord of Hosts says: Consider, and summon the women who mourn; send for the skillful women.Let them come quickly to raise a lament over us so that our eyes may overflow with tears, our eyelids soaked with weeping.For a sound of lamentation is heard from Zion: How devastated we are. Gray hair is a glorious crown; it is found in the way of righteousness.

Whatever your hands find to do, do with all your strength, because there is no work, planning, knowledge, or wisdom in Sheol where you are going.

Then the word of the Lord came to me, asking,“ What do you see, Jeremiah?” I replied,“ I see a branch of an almond tree.”

For one can see that wise men die; foolish and stupid men also pass away. Then they leave their wealth to others.Their graves are their eternal homes, their homes from generation to generation, though they have named estates after themselves.But despite his assets, man will not last; he is like the animals that perish.This is the way of those who are arrogant, and of their followers, who approve of their words. SelahLike sheep they are headed for Sheol; Death will shepherd them. The upright will rule over them in the morning, and their form will waste away in Sheol, far from their lofty abode.

If you also take this one from me and anything happens to him, you will bring my gray hairs down to Sheol in sorrow.’

“ You are to rise in the presence of the elderly and honor the old. Fear your God; I am Yahweh.

Even when I am old and gray, God, do not abandon me. Then I will proclaim Your power to another generation, Your strength to all who are to come.

I will be the same until your old age, and I will bear you up when you turn gray. I have made you, and I will carry you; I will bear and save you.

They came to the leader’s house, and He saw a commotion— people weeping and wailing loudly.He went in and said to them,“ Why are you making a commotion and weeping? The child is not dead but asleep.”

And just as it is appointed for people to die once— and after this, judgment—

But Jacob answered,“ My son will not go down with you, for his brother is dead and he alone is left. If anything happens to him on your journey, you will bring my gray hairs down to Sheol in sorrow.”

The glory of young men is their strength, and the splendor of old men is gray hair.

when he sees that the boy is not with us, he will die. Then your servants will have brought the gray hairs of your servant our father down to Sheol in sorrow.
