Words from the mouth of the wise are gracious, but fools are consumed by their own lips.

Wise people say gracious things. But foolish people are destroyed by what their own lips speak.

There is one who speaks rashly like the thrusts of a sword, But the tongue of the wise brings healing.

The wise of heart will receive commands, But a babbling fool will come to ruin.

Like a thorn that sticks in the hand of a heavy drinker, So is a proverb in the mouths of fools.

I have proclaimed good news of righteousness in the great congregation; Behold, I will not restrain my lips, Lord, You know.I have not hidden Your righteousness within my heart; I have spoken of Your faithfulness and Your salvation; I have not concealed Your mercy and Your truth from the great congregation.

Or I could strengthen you with my mouth, And the condolence of my lips could lessen your pain.

The good person brings out of his good treasure good things; and the evil person brings out of his evil treasure evil things.

A person has joy in an apt answer, And how delightful is a timely word!

The wise in heart will be called understanding, And sweetness of speech increases persuasiveness.Understanding is a fountain of life to those who have it, But the discipline of fools is foolishness.The heart of the wise instructs his mouth And adds persuasiveness to his lips.Pleasant words are a honeycomb, Sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.

A false witness will not go unpunished, And one who declares lies will not escape.

Behold, you have taught many, And you have strengthened weak hands.Your words have helped the stumbling to stand, And you have strengthened feeble knees.

She opens her mouth in wisdom, And the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.
