and when your herds and flocks grow large and your silver and gold increase and all you have is multiplied,

The number of your herds and flocks increases. You also get more and more silver and gold. And everything you have multiplies.

and when your herds and flocks multiply and your silver and gold is multiplied and all that you have is multiplied,

and when your flocks and herds have become very large and your silver and gold have multiplied along with everything else, be careful!

and your herds and flocks grow large, and your silver and gold multiply, and everything else you have increases,

and when your herds and your flocks increase, and your silver and gold increase, and everything that you have increases,

and when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and your gold are multiplied, and all that you have is multiplied;

and when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied;

and your herds and flocks grow large, and your silver and gold multiply, and everything else you have increases,

when your cattle and flocks increase, when you have plenty of silver and gold, and when you have abundance of everything,

人們往來行走，只是幻像；他們喧鬧，也是虛空；他們積聚，卻不知道誰會收取。

亞伯蘭帶著妻子和一切屬於他的，從埃及上南地去；羅得也隨著他。那時亞伯蘭擁有極多的牲畜和金銀。他從南地起程繼續往伯特利去，到了伯特利和艾之間，就是他先前支搭帳篷的地方，也是他原先造祭壇的地方。亞伯蘭就在那裡呼求耶和華的名。與亞伯蘭同行的羅得，也擁有羊群、牛群和帳篷。

人群中有一個人對耶穌說：「老師，請吩咐我的哥哥與我分繼業吧！」耶穌對他說：「朋友，誰委任了我做你們的審判官或仲裁者呢？」接著耶穌對他們說：「你們要注意，要提防一切貪心，因為一個人的生命不在於他財產的豐厚。」然後對他們講了一個比喻，說：「有一個富有的人，田地豐收了。他就心裡盤算：『我沒有地方儲存我的產物了，做什麼呢？』他就說：『我要這麼做：拆掉我的這些倉庫，另建更大的，把我所有的麥子和美物收集在那裡。然後，我要對我的靈魂說：靈魂哪，你擁有了很多好東西，足以享用多年，你就休息、吃喝、慶祝吧。』「可是神對他說：『你這愚妄的人哪！今夜，他們就要召回你的靈魂了。那麼，你所預備的要歸誰呢？』「那為自己積蓄財富而在神面前不富足的人，也是這樣。」
