This is what you are to do to them: Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones, cut down their Asherah poles and burn their idols in the fire.

So here is what you must do to those people. Break down their altars. Smash their sacred stones. Cut down the poles they use to worship the female god named Asherah. Burn the statues of their gods in the fire.

But thus shall you deal with them: you shall break down their altars and dash in pieces their pillars and chop down their Asherim and burn their carved images with fire.

This is what you must do. You must break down their pagan altars and shatter their sacred pillars. Cut down their Asherah poles and burn their idols.

其神之偶像、必焚之以火、其上之金銀、勿貪勿取、恐爾陷於網羅、因為主爾之天主所惡者、

將亞舍拉、亞舍拉或作木偶由主殿移之出、攜至耶路撒冷外、汲淪溪畔焚之、搗之成粉、揚於民之墓上、昔主殿旁有屋、為頑童所居、亦為婦女織亞舍拉幕之所、約西亞拆之、又自猶大諸邑、召諸祭司、污祭司焚香之邱壇、自迦巴至別是巴、又拆城門之諸邱壇、即邑宰約書亞門前者、在城門之左、不許邱壇之祭司、登耶路撒冷主之祭臺、惟許其在同族同族原文作兄弟中、食無酵餅、約西亞亦污便欣嫩谷之陀法、免人在彼以子女焚獻摩洛、昔猶大列王為日獻馬、畜於主殿門側、宦官拿單米勒附游廊游廊原文作葩珥瓦珥之屋旁、約西亞去之、又將諸日車燬之、猶大列王在亞哈斯樓頂上、所建之祭壇、及瑪拿西在主殿之兩院中所建之祭壇、王悉毀之、速以其塵土傾於汲淪溪畔、昔以色列王所羅門、在耶路撒冷前、邪僻山邪僻山或作油果山右、為西頓人可憎之神亞斯大錄、摩押人可憎之神基抹、亞捫族可憎之神米勒公、建諸邱壇、王悉污之、碎諸石像、斫諸亞舍拉、亞舍拉或作木偶以骸骨充於其所、

爾取罪之物、即所作之犢像、我焚之以火、擣碎磨細、成為細塵、以其塵灑於由山流下之溪、

以所造之犢、焚以火、搗為粉、灑於水、令以色列人飲之、

是夜主諭之曰、取爾父之牛犢、及七歲之第二牛、毀爾父為巴力所築之壇、斫壇旁之亞舍拉、亞舍拉或作木偶下同在此磐上、在陳禮物之所、或作在此保障之崇邱即陳列器械之所為主爾之天主建祭臺、取第二牛獻為火焚祭、以所斫之亞舍拉為柴、

爾於爾地、毋作神像、毋立雕刻之偶像與石像、毋勒像於石、設而拜之、我乃主爾之天主、

毋立柱像、皆為主爾之天主所惡者、
