This is what you are to do to them: Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones, cut down their Asherah poles and burn their idols in the fire.

So here is what you must do to those people. Break down their altars. Smash their sacred stones. Cut down the poles they use to worship the female god named Asherah. Burn the statues of their gods in the fire.

But thus shall you deal with them: you shall break down their altars and dash in pieces their pillars and chop down their Asherim and burn their carved images with fire.

This is what you must do. You must break down their pagan altars and shatter their sacred pillars. Cut down their Asherah poles and burn their idols.

Instead, this is what you are to do to them: tear down their altars, smash their sacred pillars, cut down their Asherah poles, and burn their carved images.

你們要把你們趕走的列國的人事奉神的地方，無論是在高山上，在山岡上，或是在各青翠樹下，都要完全毀壞；也要拆毀他們的祭壇，打碎他們的神柱；用火焚燒他們的亞舍拉，砍倒他們的神的雕像，並且把他們的名字從這地方除滅。

他把亞舍拉像從耶和華殿裡搬走，拿到耶路撒冷外的汲淪溪去，在汲淪溪把它燒毀，磨碎成灰，把灰撒在平民的墳墓上。他拆毀在耶和華殿內男性廟妓的房屋，就是婦女為亞舍拉編織袍子的地方。他又從猶大各城把祭司們召來，污穢祭司們焚香的邱壇，從迦巴直到別是巴。他又拆毀設在城門的邱壇，就是在市長約書亞門的出入處，在城門的左邊。但是邱壇的祭司不會登上在耶路撒冷耶和華的祭壇，他們只是在他們的兄弟中間吃無酵餅。他又污穢在欣嫩子谷的陀斐特，不許人在那裡將兒女焚燒獻給摩洛（“將兒女焚燒獻給摩洛”直譯是“使兒女經過進入火中給摩洛”）。他又除去猶大列王獻給日頭的馬匹；這些馬匹是在耶和華殿的入口處，靠近太監拿單．米勒在院子裡的住宅。他又把獻給日頭的戰車用火燒掉。他又把亞哈斯的樓房頂上，猶大列王所做的祭壇，和瑪拿西在耶和華殿的兩院中所做的祭壇拆毀，就地打碎，把它們的灰塵倒進汲淪溪去。在耶路撒冷東面、橄欖山南面的邱壇，就是以色列王所羅門為西頓人可憎的神亞斯他錄、摩押人可憎的神基抹，和亞捫人可憎的神米勒公所築的邱壇，王都污穢了。他又打碎神柱，砍下亞舍拉，把死人的骨頭布滿那個地方。

我把你們的罪，就是你們鑄造的牛犢，拿去用火燒了，又把它搗碎，磨成細粉，像灰塵一樣；我把這灰塵撒在從山上流下來的溪水中。

又把他們所做的那牛犢拿過來，用火焚燒，磨到粉碎，撒在水面上，讓以色列人喝。

當夜，耶和華對基甸說：“取你父親的牛和另一頭七歲大的牛來，拆毀你父親的巴力祭壇，砍下壇旁的亞舍拉。在這堅固的地方上面，你要整整齊齊為耶和華你的神築一座祭壇，拿第二頭牛作燔祭，用你砍下來的亞舍拉作柴。”

“你們不可為自己做偶像，不可為自己立雕像或神柱，也不可在你們的境內安置石像，向它跪拜；因為我是耶和華你們的神。

也不可為自己豎立神柱，這是耶和華你的神所恨惡的。”
