但向恨他的人，却要当面报应他们，把他们灭尽；恨他的，他都要当面报应他，决不迟延。

But those who hate him he will repay to their face by destruction; he will not be slow to repay to their face those who hate him.

耶和华是嫉恶和施行报复的神；耶和华施行报复，并且满怀烈怒；耶和华向他的对头施行报复，向他的仇敌怀怒。

他要按照各人的行为施行报应，把烈怒降与他的敌人，把报应加给他的仇敌，向众海岛的人施行报应。

你的手要搜出你所有的仇敌，你的右手必搜出那些恨你的人。你出现的时候，就要使他们像炽热的火炉；耶和华必在他的震怒中吞灭他们，火必烧灭他们。

所以你要知道耶和华你的神，他是神，是信实可靠的神；他向爱他和守他诫命的人，守约并且施慈爱，直到千代。

主决不耽延他的应许，像有些人以为他是耽延的一样；其实他是宽容你们，不愿有一人灭亡，却愿人人都悔改。但主的日子必要像贼一样来到。在那日，天必轰然一声地消失，所有元素都因烈火而融化；地和地上所有的，都要被烧毁（“被烧毁”有不少古抄本作“被发现”）。

如果我磨亮了我的刀剑，如果我掌握了审判权，就必向我的仇敌伸冤，必向恨我的人报应。

外有刀剑，内有惊恐，使人丧亡，使少男少女，婴孩和白发老人，尽都丧亡。

等到他们失足的时候，我要伸冤报应；因为他们遭遇灾难的日子近了，那预备要临到他们身上的事，必快快临到。

亲爱的啊，不要为自己伸冤，宁可等候主的忿怒，因为经上记着，主说：“伸冤在我，我必报应。”

不可跪拜它们，也不可事奉它们，因为我耶和华你们的神是忌邪的神；恨恶我的，我必追讨他们的罪，从父亲到儿子，直到三四代。

恨我的，也恨我的父。如果我没有在他们中间作过别人没有作过的事，他们就没有罪；但现在我和我的父，他们都看见了，也都恨恶。

义人在世上尚且受报应，何况恶人和罪人呢？
