houses filled with all kinds of good things you did not provide, wells you did not dig, and vineyards and olive groves you did not plant— then when you eat and are satisfied,

It has houses filled with all kinds of good things you didn’t provide. The land has wells you didn’t dig. And it has vineyards and groves of olive trees you didn’t plant. You will have plenty to eat.

The houses will be richly stocked with goods you did not produce. You will draw water from cisterns you did not dig, and you will eat from vineyards and olive trees you did not plant. When you have eaten your fill in this land,

爾若聽從此諸法度、謹守遵行、則主爾之天主、必循其向爾祖所發之誓、為爾踐約施恩、於所誓爾祖欲賜爾之地、將眷愛爾、賜福於爾、使爾昌熾、使爾子女眾多、土產茂盛、五穀酒油豐美、牛群羊群蕃衍、爾蒙賜福勝於萬民、爾中必無不能生育之男女、爾群畜亦無不能生者、主於爾中除諸疾病、伊及人所患之惡疾、爾所識者、必不加爾、乃加爾諸敵、主爾之天主所將付爾列邦之民、爾必滅之、勿加矜恤、勿事其神、恐使爾陷於網羅、爾若意謂此諸國之民、較我眾多、何能驅逐、爾毋懼之、當追憶主爾之天主所行於法老及伊及人之事、

爾食而飽、當因所賜爾之美地、讚頌主爾之天主、當謹恪自慎、恐忘主爾之天主、不守其誡命法度律例、即我今日所諭爾者、恐爾食而飽、建美室而居、牛羊蕃多、金銀加增、凡爾所有、無不豐裕、遂心高氣傲、忘主爾之天主、昔導爾出伊及爾為奴之地、使爾經歷曠野、廣大可畏、有毒火蛇與蠍、乾旱無水之地、又為爾使水出自堅磐、又在曠野、以爾祖不識之瑪拿飼爾、使爾自卑、以試驗爾、使爾終必享福、恐爾意謂我獲此財、盡由己力己能、當憶主爾之天主以能力賜爾、俾爾獲財、以踐所誓於爾祖之盟約、有如今日之事、如爾忘主爾之天主、從異邦神、奉事叩拜、我今日警告爾、爾必滅亡、主於爾前滅列邦之民、爾曹亦必如是見滅、因不聽從主爾天主之言故也、

衣爾以繡、以花皮花皮或作海龍皮又作貉皮作履納爾足、以白細麻布裹爾首、以絲披爾身、飾爾以美飾、以釧著於手、以金索垂於項、以鼻環置於鼻、耳環懸於耳、華冕戴於首、得飾以金銀、衣以白細麻與絲及錦繡、食以細麵與蜜及油、爾遂成極豔麗、堪居后位、主天主曰、我加爾華飾、全爾豔色、其聲名傳於列邦、惟爾自恃爾美、因爾聲名徧揚、遂徇欲行淫、無論何人經過、爾即放縱嗜慾、與之苟合、爾之身即歸於彼、爾取爾衣服、飾爾所造之邱壇、五色俱備、行淫其上、如此之事、疇昔未有、後亦無有、爾亦取我賜爾之金銀美飾、為己作偶像、狀若男身、與之行淫、取爾繡衣而蔽之、以我之膏油與香、置於其前、以我所賜爾之食物、即我所賜爾之細麵、與油及蜜、陳於其前、以為馨香、誠有斯事、此乃主天主所言、又以爾為我所生之子女、殺之獻於偶像為祭、祭原文作食爾行淫、已非小事、

耶書崙胖奔踶不馴、其身肥腯為脂所蒙、遂違棄造之之天主、救之之主彼竟藐視、

耶穌謂門徒曰、我誠告爾、富者入天國、難矣哉、我又告爾、駝穿針孔、較富者入天主國尤易、

使我可避虛偽與誑言、使我不貧不富、惟賜我所需之糧、我若富、恐我飽而不認主、云主為誰、我若貧、恐我盜竊、以致妄稱我天主之名、○
