勿拜跪、勿崇奉、以我耶和華爾之上帝、乃忌邪之上帝、惡我者討其罪、自父及子、至三四世、

毋拜跪、毋崇奉、以我耶和華即爾之上帝、斷不容以他上帝匹我、惡我者禍之、自父及子、至三四世、

毋跪拜、毋崇事、蓋我耶和華爾之天主、乃忌邪之天主、或作不容人崇奉別神惡我者、我必討其罪、以及子孫、至三四代、

You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,

Do not bow down to them or worship them. I am the Lord your God. I want you to worship only me. I cause the sins of the parents to affect their children. I will cause the sins of those who hate me to affect even their grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

You shall not bow down to them or serve them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,

You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children; the entire family is affected— even children in the third and fourth generations of those who reject me.

Do not bow in worship to them, and do not serve them, because I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, bringing the consequences of the fathers’ iniquity on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate me,

You shall not worship them nor serve them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, inflicting the punishment of the fathers on the children, even on the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,

Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God[ am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth[ generation] of them that hate me,

You must not worship or serve them, for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God. I punish the sons, grandsons, and great-grandsons for the sin of the fathers who reject me,

You shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them; for I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and on the third and on the fourth generation of those who hate me;

“不可為自己做偶像，也不可做天上、地下和地底下水中各物的形象。不可跪拜它們，也不可事奉它們，因為我耶和華你們的神是忌邪的神；恨惡我的，我必追討他們的罪，從父親到兒子，直到三四代。愛我和遵守我誡命的，我必向他們施慈愛，直到千代。

為千千萬萬人留下慈愛，赦免罪孽、過犯和罪惡。一定要清除罪，追討罪孽自父及子至孫，直到三四代。”

我向耶和華我的神禱告、認罪，說：“主啊！偉大可畏的神，你向那些愛你（“你”原文作“他”），遵守你（“你”原文作“他”）誡命的人守約施慈愛。我們犯了罪，行了不義，作了惡，背叛了你，偏離了你的誡命典章；沒有聽從你的僕人眾先知，他們奉你的名向我們的君王、領袖、列祖和國中所有的人民說話。主啊！你是公義的；我們滿面羞愧，正如今日的光景；我們猶大人、耶路撒冷的居民，和被你趕逐到遠近各地的以色列眾人，都因對你不忠而滿面羞愧。耶和華啊！我們和我們的君王、領袖、列祖，都滿面羞愧，因為我們得罪了你。雖然我們背叛了主我們的神，他仍是滿有憐憫和饒恕。

你不可敬拜別的神，因為耶和華是忌邪的神，他名為忌邪者。

‘耶和華不輕易發怒，且有豐盛的慈愛；他赦免罪孽和過犯；絕不以有罪的為無罪，必追討罪孽，自父到子，直到三四代。’

你向千萬人施慈愛，又把父親的罪孽都報應在他們的兒女身上。你是偉大、有能力的神，萬軍之耶和華是你（“你”原文作“他”）的名。

就福音來說，因你們的緣故，他們是仇敵；就揀選來說，因祖宗的緣故，他們是蒙愛的。因為神的恩賞和呼召是決不會反悔的。

所以，從義人亞伯的血起，到巴拉加的兒子撒迦利亞的血為止，他就是你們在聖所和祭壇中間所殺的，所有義人在地上所流的血，都要歸在你們身上。我實在告訴你們，這一切都必臨到這個世代。
