( I stood between Yahweh and you at that time, to show you Yahweh’s word; for you were afraid because of the fire, and didn’t go up onto the mountain) saying,

这样说来，为什么要有律法呢？律法是为过犯的缘故而加上去的，等候那蒙应许的子孙来到才结束，是藉着天使经中保之手而设立的。

到了第三天早晨，山上有雷轰、闪电和密云，并且角声非常响亮，营中的百姓尽都战抖。

众百姓见雷轰、闪电、角声、山上冒烟，百姓看见就都战抖，远远站着。他们对摩西说：“请你向我们说话，我们必听；不要让神向我们说话，免得我们死亡。”摩西对百姓说：“不要害怕；因为神降临是要考验你们，要你们敬畏他，不致犯罪。”于是百姓远远站着，但摩西却挨近神所在的幽暗中。

你们不是来到那可触摸的山，那里有火焰、密云、黑暗、暴风、角声，和说话的声音；当时那些听见这声音的，都求不要再向他们说话，因为他们担当不起所命令他们的话，说：“靠近这山的，即使是走兽，也要用石头打死。”所见的景象极其可怕，以致摩西说：“我恐惧战兢。”但是你们是来到锡安山，永生神的城，就是天上的耶路撒冷，那里有千千万万的天使，有名字记录在天上众长子的盛会，有审判众人的神和成为完全的义人的灵魂，并新约的中保耶稣，以及所洒的血；这血所说的信息比亚伯的血所说的更美。

只有摩西可以接近耶和华，其他的人却不可接近；百姓也不可和他一同上来。”摩西下山，向百姓陈述耶和华一切的命令和典章。众百姓齐声说：“耶和华所吩咐的一切，我们都必遵行。”

因为基督并没有进了人手所造的圣所—这不过是真圣所的影像—而是进到天上，如今为我们出现在神面前。

他们的君王是他们自己的人，掌权的必出自他们。我要使他接近我，他也要亲近我；不然，谁敢放胆亲近我呢？这是耶和华说的。

求你近前去，听耶和华—我们神所要说的一切话，将耶和华—我们神对你说的话都传给我们，我们就听从遵行。’

天使指给我看：约书亚大祭司站在耶和华的使者面前，撒但站在约书亚的右边控告他。耶和华向撒但说：“撒但哪，耶和华责备你！拣选耶路撒冷的耶和华责备你！这不是从火中抽出来的一根柴吗？”约书亚穿着污秽的衣服，站在那使者面前。使者吩咐那些侍立在他面前的说：“脱去他污秽的衣服。”又对约书亚说：“你看，我使你的罪孽离开你，要给你穿上华美的衣服。”我说：“要将洁净的冠冕戴在他头上。”他们就把洁净的冠冕戴在他头上，给他穿上华美的衣服，耶和华的使者在旁边站立。

因此，他说要灭绝他们；若非他所拣选的摩西在他面前站在破裂之处，使他的愤怒转消，恐怕他就灭绝他们了。

二人转身离开那里，往所多玛去；但亚伯拉罕仍然站在耶和华面前。

他站在活人和死人之间，瘟疫就止住了。
