厥後爾之上帝耶和華、導爾入所得之土、驅逐赫人、革迦西人、亞摩哩人、迦南人比哩洗人、希未人、耶布士人、此七族較爾強大、

爾所至之地、我必使其民悚懼、潰亂特甚、與爾敵者、無不敗北。必使大蜂起於爾前、以驅希未人、迦南人、赫人。

爾施大力、降災於異邦而驅逐之兮、爾使選民、安居厥所兮、斯民得土、不恃戈兵、不藉人力、乃爾巨力大能、眷顧而祐之兮。

以色列族、尚其聽之、今日爾渡約但、有較爾強大之民、其城垣廣大、高可參天、爾將得之。彼為亞納後裔、軀幹雄偉、爾不聞諺云、孰能敵亞納人乎。爾今當知、爾之上帝耶和華、如火之燎、為爾先導、覆滅爾敵、使爾驅逐之、敗亡之、其事甚速、應其前言。既驅之後、爾勿意謂我儕有義、故耶和華使得斯土、實因斯民行惡、故耶和華驅於爾前。爾之得土、非為爾正心行義、乃為斯民行惡、爾之上帝耶和華、驅之於爾前、以踐其所誓爾祖亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各之言。

則較爾強大眾多之民、耶和華必驅之、使爾得其土。

當憶爾上帝耶和華以能賜爾、俾爾致富、以踐所許爾祖之盟約、即以今日所有者為證、

蓋耶和華曾諭我曰、我以西宏及其地、畀於爾手、汝可得之、據有其地。西宏率眾而出、至雅哈斯與我戰。我之上帝耶和華、以西宏王、及王子臣民、悉付於我、為我所敗、取其城邑、男女長幼、俱行殲滅、靡有孑遺、邑中之貨財、以及牲畜、為我所得、亞嫩河濱之亞囉耳、及洲中之邑、迄於基列、無邑不服、乃我上帝耶和華盡付於我、惟亞捫族之地、雅泊河濱、山中之邑、為我上帝耶和華所禁者、我不侵奪。我儕旋踵、道由巴山、巴山王噩率眾而出、至以得來與我戰。耶和華告我曰、毋畏、我必以王、及其民人、土地、付於汝手、昔在希實本、滅亞摩哩王西宏、今之待噩、亦必若是。於是我之上帝耶和華、以巴山王噩、及其人民付於我手、為我翦滅、靡有孑遺。亞咯境為巴山王噩所統、邑共六十、悉為所取、無不服從。以上諸邑、俱有高垣、及門與楗、外此更有閭里、其數眾多、我翦滅之、及其男女長幼、如昔滅希實本王西宏然。邑中之貨財、以及牲畜、為我所得。在約但之東、自亞嫩河、及黑門山、亞摩哩二王之地、為我所取、平原諸邑、與基列、巴山四境、至巴山王噩所統之邑、撒迦、以得來、我亦取之、黑門之山、西頓人稱之為西連、亞摩哩人稱之為示溺。

欲使爾知永生上帝左右爾、必於爾前驅逐迦南人、赫人、希未人、比哩洗人、革迦撒人、亞摩哩人、耶布士人。
