behold, I now do according to your word. Behold, I give you a wise and discerning mind, so that none like you has been before you and none like you shall arise after you.

in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

For he whom God has sent utters the words of God, for he gives the Spirit without measure.

Then they laid their hands on them and they received the Holy Spirit.Now when Simon saw that the Spirit was given through the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money,saying,“ Give me this power also, so that anyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.”

These they set before the apostles, and they prayed and laid their hands on them.

And they answered Joshua,“ All that you have commanded us we will do, and wherever you send us we will go.Just as we obeyed Moses in all things, so we will obey you. Only may the Lord your God be with you, as he was with Moses!Whoever rebels against your commandment and disobeys your words, whatever you command him, shall be put to death. Only be strong and courageous.”

Now when the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho saw him opposite them, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” And they came to meet him and bowed to the ground before him.

And I will come down and talk with you there. And I will take some of the Spirit that is on you and put it on them, and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, so that you may not bear it yourself alone.

Do not be hasty in the laying on of hands, nor take part in the sins of others; keep yourself pure.

Give your servant therefore an understanding mind to govern your people, that I may discern between good and evil, for who is able to govern this your great people?”

and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with ability and intelligence, with knowledge and all craftsmanship,

So the Lord said to Moses,“ Take Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him.Make him stand before Eleazar the priest and all the congregation, and you shall commission him in their sight.You shall invest him with some of your authority, that all the congregation of the people of Israel may obey.And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire for him by the judgment of the Urim before the Lord. At his word they shall go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he and all the people of Israel with him, the whole congregation.”And Moses did as the Lord commanded him. He took Joshua and made him stand before Eleazar the priest and the whole congregation,and he laid his hands on him and commissioned him as the Lord directed through Moses.

When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha,“ Ask what I shall do for you, before I am taken from you.” And Elisha said,“ Please let there be a double portion of your spirit on me.”

Do not neglect the gift you have, which was given you by prophecy when the council of elders laid their hands on you.
