耶和華之神必臨之、即智慧明哲之神、謀畧才能之神、知識與寅畏耶和華之神也、

但以理心性佳妙、愈於其他宰輔、及諸方伯、王欲立之治理全國、

我依爾所求、以聰明智慧之心錫爾、致爾之前、未有如爾者、爾之後、亦未有如爾者、

凡智慧知識之寶藏、皆韞於彼、

上帝所遣者、言上帝之言、蓋上帝賜聖神無限量也、

於是手按之、遂受聖神、西門見使徒按手、即有聖神下賜、乃獻之以金、曰、以此能予我、俾我手所按者、亦受聖神焉、

立之於使徒前、遂祈禱手按之、○

對曰、凡爾所諭、我必行之、凡爾所遣、我必往焉、昔我諸事聽從摩西、今亦如是聽從爾、惟願爾上帝耶和華偕爾、如偕摩西然、凡逆爾命、不遵爾所諭者、必致之死、惟當強乃心、壯乃志、

居耶利哥之先知徒望見之、則曰、以利亞之神臨以利沙矣、遂來迎之、伏於其前、

我將臨而語爾、取爾所感之神、賦之於彼、使其同負治民之任、免爾獨負、

勿遽按手於人、勿與人罪、惟潔是務、

誰能鞫此眾民、祈賜爾僕智慧之心、為民折中、而辨是非、

充以上帝之神、使有智慧、聰明知識、以作諸工、

耶和華諭摩西曰、嫩之子約書亞、乃感於神、汝可取之、按手其上、置於祭司以利亞撒及會眾前、付託以命、以汝尊榮、加諸其身、使以色列會眾無不聽從、彼必立於祭司以利亞撒前、以利亞撒為之諮諏烏陵於耶和華前、彼及以色列會眾、必聽其命而出、亦聽其命而入、摩西遵耶和華命、取約書亞、使立於祭司以利亞撒及會眾前、按手其上、以命託之、循耶和華所諭摩西之命、

既過、以利亞謂以利沙曰、我未被接離爾之先、爾欲我為爾何為、則求之、以利沙曰、求使感爾之神、臨我維倍、

勿忽爾衷之恩賜、乃由預言及長老按手而予者、
