他怎樣在埃及顯神蹟，在瑣安田顯奇事，把江河並河汊的水都變為血，使他們不能喝。他使蒼蠅成羣落在他們當中，吃盡他們，又叫青蛙滅了他們，將他們的果實交給螞蚱，把他們勞碌得來的交給蝗蟲。他降冰雹打壞他們的葡萄樹，下寒霜打壞他們的桑樹，將他們的牲畜交給冰雹，把他們的羣畜交給閃電。他使猛烈的怒氣和憤怒、惱恨、苦難，成了一羣降災的使者，臨到他們。他為自己的怒氣修平了路，將他們的性命交給瘟疫，使他們死亡，在埃及擊殺所有的長子，在含的帳棚中擊殺他們壯年時頭生的。他卻領出自己的子民如羊，在曠野引導他們如羊羣。他領他們穩穩妥妥地，使他們不致害怕；海卻淹沒他們的仇敵。他帶他們到自己聖地的邊界，到他右手所得的這山地。他在他們面前趕出外邦人，用繩子抽籤量地給他們為業，讓以色列支派的人住在自己的帳棚裏。他們仍舊試探，悖逆至高的上帝，不遵守他的法度，反倒退後，行詭詐，像他們的祖宗一樣，他們翻轉，如同鬆弛的弓，以丘壇惹他發怒，以雕刻的偶像使他忌恨。

他差遣他的僕人摩西和他所揀選的亞倫，在敵人中間顯他的神蹟，在含地顯他的奇事。他差遣黑暗，就有黑暗；他們沒有違背他的話。他使埃及的水變為血，令他們的魚死了。在他們的地上，青蛙多多滋生，王宮的內室也是如此。他一吩咐，蒼蠅就成羣飛來，並有蚊子進入他們四境。他給他們降下冰雹為雨，在他們的地上降下火焰。他擊打他們的葡萄樹和無花果樹，毀壞他們境內的樹木。他一吩咐，就有蝗蟲蝻子上來，不計其數，吃光他們地上各樣的菜蔬，吞盡他們田地的出產。他又擊殺他們國內所有的長子，就是他們強壯時頭生的。他卻帶領自己的百姓帶着金子銀子出來，他支派中沒有一個走不動的。他們出來的時候，埃及人就歡喜；因為埃及人懼怕他們。
