He said of his father and mother,‘ I have no regard for them.’ He did not recognize his brothers or acknowledge his own children, but he watched over your word and guarded your covenant.

Levi didn’t show special favor to anyone. He did not spare his father and mother. He didn’t excuse his relatives or his children. But he watched over your word. He guarded your covenant.

who said of his father and mother,‘ I regard them not’; he disowned his brothers and ignored his children. For they observed your word and kept your covenant.

The Levites obeyed your word and guarded your covenant. They were more loyal to you than to their own parents. They ignored their relatives and did not acknowledge their own children.

神啊，這在你眼中還看為小，又應許你僕人的家至於久遠。耶和華神啊，你看顧我好像看顧高貴的人。

就打發他們的門徒同希律黨的人去見耶穌，說：「夫子，我們知道你是誠實人，並且誠誠實實傳神的道，甚麼人你都不徇情面，因為你不看人的外貌。

我曾與他立生命和平安的約。我將這兩樣賜給他，使他存敬畏的心，他就敬畏我，懼怕我的名。真實的律法在他口中，他嘴裏沒有不義的話。他以平安和正直與我同行，使多人回頭離開罪孽。祭司的嘴裏當存知識，人也當由他口中尋求律法，因為他是萬軍之耶和華的使者。

摩西見百姓放肆（亞倫縱容他們，使他們在仇敵中間被譏刺），就站在營門中，說：「凡屬耶和華的，都要到我這裏來！」於是利未的子孫都到他那裏聚集。他對他們說：「耶和華－以色列的神這樣說：『你們各人把刀跨在腰間，在營中往來，從這門到那門，各人殺他的弟兄與同伴並鄰舍。』」利未的子孫照摩西的話行了。那一天百姓中被殺的約有三千。摩西說：「今天你們要自潔，歸耶和華為聖，各人攻擊他的兒子和弟兄，使耶和華賜福與你們。」

「人到我這裏來，若不愛我勝過愛自己的父母、妻子、兒女、弟兄、姊妹，和自己的性命，就不能作我的門徒。

他卻回答那人說：「誰是我的母親？誰是我的弟兄？」

所以，我們從今以後，不憑着外貌認人了。雖然憑着外貌認過基督，如今卻不再這樣認他了。

「愛父母過於愛我的，不配作我的門徒；愛兒女過於愛我的，不配作我的門徒；

我現在是要得人的心呢？還是要得神的心呢？我豈是討人的喜歡嗎？若仍舊討人的喜歡，我就不是基督的僕人了。

不可挨近死屍，也不可為父母沾染自己。

利亞懷孕生子，就給他起名叫呂便，因而說：「耶和華看見我的苦情，如今我的丈夫必愛我。」

他們就說：「來吧！我們可以設計謀害耶利米；因為我們有祭司講律法，智慧人設謀略，先知說預言，都不能斷絕。來吧！我們可以用舌頭擊打他，不要理會他的一切話。」

但神既然驗中了我們，把福音託付我們，我們就照樣講，不是要討人喜歡，乃是要討那察驗我們心的神喜歡。

摩西對亞倫和他兒子以利亞撒、以他瑪說：「不可蓬頭散髮，也不可撕裂衣裳，免得你們死亡，又免得耶和華向會眾發怒；只要你們的弟兄以色列全家為耶和華所發的火哀哭。

所以，人敬畏他；凡自以為心中有智慧的人，他都不顧念。

我在神和基督耶穌並蒙揀選的天使面前囑咐你：要遵守這些話，不可存成見，行事也不可有偏心。
