About Gad he said:“ Blessed is he who enlarges Gad’s domain! Gad lives there like a lion, tearing at arm or head.

Here’s what Moses said about Gad.“ May the God who gives Gad more land be praised! Gad lives there like a lion that tears off arms and heads.

And of Gad he said,“ Blessed be he who enlarges Gad! Gad crouches like a lion; he tears off arm and scalp.

Moses said this about the tribe of Gad:“ Blessed is the one who enlarges Gad’s territory! Gad is poised there like a lion to tear off an arm or a head.

He said about Gad: The one who enlarges Gad’s territory will be blessed. He lies down like a lion and tears off an arm or even a head.

Of Gad he said,“ Blessed is the one who enlarges Gad; He lies down as a lion, And tears the arm, also the crown of the head.

And of Gad he said:“ Blessed is he who enlarges Gad; He dwells as a lion, And tears the arm and the crown of his head.

And of Gad he said, Blessed be he that enlargeth Gad: He dwelleth as a lioness, And teareth the arm, yea, the crown of the head.

He said about Gad: The one who enlarges Gad’s territory will be blessed. He lies down like a lion and tears off an arm or even a head.

And of Gad he said, Blessed[ be] he that enlargeth Gad: he dwelleth as a lion, and teareth the arm with the crown of the head.

迦得必被袭击者袭击，他却要袭击他们的脚跟。

吕便、迦得二支派已经和玛拿西另外半个支派得了产业，就是耶和华的仆人摩西在约旦河东所赐给他们的：

你使我脚步宽阔，我的脚踝未曾滑跌。

还有在希实本作王的亚摩利王西宏的诸城，直到亚扪人的边界；

又说：“耶和华—闪的神是应当称颂的！愿迦南作闪的奴仆。愿神使雅弗扩张，愿他住在闪的帐棚里；愿迦南作他的奴仆。”

摩西按着迦得支派的宗族分产业给他们。他们的地界是雅谢和基列的各城，以及亚扪人之地的一半，直到拉巴前面的亚罗珥；还有从希实本到拉抹‧米斯巴和比多宁，又从玛哈念到底璧的边界，和谷中的伯‧亚兰、伯‧宁拉、疏割、撒分，就是希实本王西宏国土中其余的地，以及约旦河与靠近约旦河的地，直到基尼烈海的边缘，都在约旦河东。以上是迦得人按着宗族所得为业的城镇和所属的村庄。

雅各的余民必在列国中，在许多民族中，如林间百兽中的狮子，又如少壮狮子在羊群中；他若经过就必践踏撕裂，无人搭救。

约旦河东的吕便人、迦得人、玛拿西半支派，拿各样兵器打仗的有十二万人。以上都是能列队上阵的战士，他们都全心来到希伯仑，要拥立大卫作全以色列的王。以色列其余的人也都一心要拥立大卫作王。

他领我到宽阔之处，他救拔我，因他喜爱我。

雅比斯求告以色列的神说：“甚愿你赐福与我，扩张我的疆界，你的手常与我同在，保佑我不遭患难，不受艰苦。”神就应允他所求的。

迦得人中有人到旷野的山寨投奔大卫，都是大能的勇士，能拿盾牌和枪的战士。他们的面貌好像狮子，敏捷如山上的鹿。第一以薛，第二俄巴底雅，第三以利押，第四弥施玛拿，第五耶利米，第六亚太，第七以利业，第八约哈难，第九以利萨巴，第十耶利米，第十一末巴奈。这些都是迦得人中的军官，小的能抵一百人，大的能抵一千人。

吕便人、迦得人和玛拿西半支派的人，能拿盾牌和刀剑、拉弓、出征善战的勇士共有四万四千七百六十名。他们与夏甲人、伊突人、拿非施人、挪答人打仗。他们在打仗的时候得了神的帮助，夏甲人和所有跟随夏甲人的人都交在他们手中；因为他们在阵上呼求神，倚赖他，他就应允他们。他们掳掠了夏甲人的牲畜，有五万匹骆驼，二十五万只羊，二千匹驴，又有十万人；
