In majesty he is like a firstborn bull; his horns are the horns of a wild ox. With them he will gore the nations, even those at the ends of the earth. Such are the ten thousands of Ephraim; such are the thousands of Manasseh.”

His glory is like the glory of a bull born first to its mother. His horns are like the horns of a wild ox. He will use them to destroy the nations. He’ll wipe out the nations that are very far away. The ten thousands of men in Ephraim’s army are like the bull and the ox. So are the thousands in the army of Manasseh.”

God bringeth them forth out of Egypt; He hath as it were the strength of the wild- ox.

Through thee will we push down our adversaries: Through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us.

And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made him horns of iron, and said, Thus saith Jehovah, With these shalt thou push the Syrians, until they be consumed.

God bringeth him forth out of Egypt; He hath as it were the strength of the wild- ox: He shall eat up the nations his adversaries, And shall break their bones in pieces, And smite them through with his arrows.

And the sons of Reuben the first- born of Israel( for he was the first- born; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father’s couch, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel; and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.

But my horn hast thou exalted like the horn of the wild- ox: I am anointed with fresh oil.

And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it; he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: howbeit his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.

O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the dew that goeth early away.

And the wild- oxen shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls: and their land shall be drunken with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness.

Save me from the lion’s mouth; Yea, from the horns of the wild- oxen thou hast answered me.

These are the families of Manasseh; and they that were numbered of them were fifty and two thousand and seven hundred.

He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild- ox.

When I would heal Israel, then is the iniquity of Ephraim uncovered, and the wickedness of Samaria; for they commit falsehood, and the thief entereth in, and the troop of robbers ravageth without.

I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me; for now, O Ephraim, thou hast played the harlot, Israel is defiled.

Will the wild- ox be content to serve thee? Or will he abide by thy crib?Canst thou bind the wild- ox with his band in the furrow? Or will he harrow the valleys after thee?

These are the families of the sons of Ephraim according to those that were numbered of them, thirty and two thousand and five hundred. These are the sons of Joseph after their families.
