這摩西就是百姓棄絕說『誰立你作我們的首領和審判官』的；神卻藉那在荊棘中顯現之使者的手差派他作首領、作救贖的。

耶和華的使者從荊棘裏火焰中向摩西顯現。摩西觀看，不料，荊棘被火燒着，卻沒有燒毀。摩西說：「我要過去看這大異象，這荊棘為何沒有燒壞呢？」耶和華神見他過去要看，就從荊棘裏呼叫說：「摩西！摩西！」他說：「我在這裏。」

地和其中所充滿的，世界和住在其間的，都屬耶和華。

論到死人復活，你們沒有念過摩西的書荊棘篇上所載的嗎？神對摩西說：『我是亞伯拉罕的神，以撒的神，雅各的神。』

他們就為約瑟單擺了一席，為那些人又擺了一席，也為和約瑟同吃飯的埃及人另擺了一席，因為埃及人不可和希伯來人一同吃飯；那原是埃及人所厭惡的。

在至高之處榮耀歸與神！在地上平安歸與他所喜悅的人！

天屬你，地也屬你；世界和其中所充滿的都為你所建立。

若有人對你們說：「這是獻過祭的物」，就要為那告訴你們的人，並為良心的緣故不吃。

聽見從但那裏敵人的馬噴鼻氣，他的壯馬發嘶聲，全地就都震動；因為他們來吞滅這地和其上所有的，吞滅這城與其中的居民。

你們要趕緊上到我父親那裏，對他說：『你兒子約瑟這樣說：神使我作全埃及的主，請你下到我這裏來，不要躭延。你和你的兒子孫子，連牛羣羊羣，並一切所有的，都可以住在歌珊地，與我相近。我要在那裏奉養你；因為還有五年的饑荒，免得你和你的眷屬，並一切所有的，都敗落了。』

像這樣聖潔、無邪惡、無玷污、遠離罪人、高過諸天的大祭司，原是與我們合宜的。

有些米甸的商人從那裏經過，哥哥們就把約瑟從坑裏拉上來，講定二十舍客勒銀子，把約瑟賣給以實瑪利人。他們就把約瑟帶到埃及去了。

我若是飢餓，我不用告訴你，因為世界和其中所充滿的都是我的。

又恐怕我因所得的啟示甚大，就過於自高，所以有一根刺加在我肉體上，就是撒但的差役要攻擊我，免得我過於自高。為這事，我三次求過主，叫這刺離開我。他對我說：「我的恩典夠你用的，因為我的能力是在人的軟弱上顯得完全。」所以，我更喜歡誇自己的軟弱，好叫基督的能力覆庇我。我為基督的緣故，就以軟弱、凌辱、急難、逼迫、困苦為可喜樂的；因我甚麼時候軟弱，甚麼時候就剛強了。

約瑟住在他主人埃及人的家中，耶和華與他同在，他就百事順利。他主人見耶和華與他同在，又見耶和華使他手裏所辦的盡都順利，

你父親所祝的福勝過我祖先所祝的福，如永世的山嶺，至極的邊界；這些福必降在約瑟的頭上，臨到那與弟兄迥別之人的頂上。

「過了四十年，在西奈山的曠野，有一位天使從荊棘火焰中向摩西顯現。摩西見了那異象，便覺希奇，正進前觀看的時候，有主的聲音說：『我是你列祖的神，就是亞伯拉罕的神，以撒的神，雅各的神。』摩西戰戰兢兢，不敢觀看。主對他說：『把你腳上的鞋脫下來，因為你所站之地是聖地。

因為地和其中所充滿的都屬乎主。
