I will make my arrows drunk with blood, while my sword devours flesh: the blood of the slain and the captives, the heads of the enemy leaders.”

我要把災禍加在他們身上，把我的箭向他們射盡。

那是主萬軍之耶和華的日子，是報仇的日子，他要向自己的敵人報仇；刀劍必吞噬、飽餐他們的肉，痛飲他們的血。因為在北方，靠近幼發拉底河之地，主萬軍之耶和華要屠宰敵人像殺祭牲一樣。

所以我指著我的永生起誓，我必使你遭受流血的報應，這血必追趕你；你既不恨惡流人的血，這血必追趕你。這是主耶和華的宣告。我必使西珥山非常荒涼，我必從那裡剪除來往的人。我必使西珥的眾山布滿了被殺的人；被刀劍所殺的人必倒在你的小山、山谷和所有的溪澗中。

我必呼喚刀劍在我的眾山上攻擊歌革，各人的刀劍必攻擊自己的兄弟。這是主耶和華的宣告。我必用瘟疫和血腥懲罰他；我必把暴雨、大冰雹、火和硫磺降在他和他的軍隊，以及與他在一起的許多民族身上。

“你向這人民傳講這一切時，如果他們問你：‘耶和華為甚麼宣告這一切嚴重的災禍對付我們呢？我們有甚麼罪孽？我們犯了甚麼罪，得罪了耶和華我們的神呢？’

你為甚麼掩面，把我當作你的仇敵呢？

“你們要在埃及傳揚，在密奪宣告，在挪弗和答比匿宣揚，說：‘要站好崗位，作好準備，因為刀劍要吞滅你周圍的人！’

你所有的盟友都忘記了你，不再關心你；我擊打了你，好像仇敵擊打你，又好像殘暴的人懲罰你一樣；都因你的罪孽甚多，你的罪惡無數。

你的箭銳利，射中了王的仇敵的心；萬民都仆倒在你腳下。

主好像成了仇敵；他吞滅了以色列和她所有的宮殿，毀壞了她的堅固城。他在猶大居民的中間，增添了悲哀和哭號。

好使你在他們的血中洗自己的腳（按照《馬索拉文本》，本句應作“好使你在血中打碎自己的腳”；現參照《七十士譯本》翻譯），使你的狗的舌頭也有分舔仇敵的血。”
