但願他們常常存著這樣的心，敬畏我，遵守我的一切誡命，使他們和他們的子孫永享福樂。

只要我的子民聽從我，以色列肯遵行我的道，

“有一個財主，身穿紫色袍和細麻衣，天天奢華宴樂。又有一個乞丐，名叫拉撒路，滿身是瘡，被人放在財主門口，想得財主桌子上掉下來的零碎充飢；並且有狗來舔他的瘡。後來乞丐死了，被天使送到亞伯拉罕的懷裡。那財主也死了，並且埋葬了。財主在陰間受痛苦，舉目遠遠望見亞伯拉罕，和他懷裡的拉撒路，就喊著說：‘我祖亞伯拉罕啊，可憐我吧！打發拉撒路來用指頭蘸點水，涼涼我的舌頭吧！因為我在這火燄裡非常痛苦。’亞伯拉罕說：‘孩子，你應該回想你生前享過福，同樣拉撒路受過苦，現在他在這裡得安慰，你卻要受苦了。

耶穌走近耶路撒冷的時候，看見了城，就為城哀哭，說：“巴不得你在這日子，知道關於你平安的事，但現在這事在你眼前是隱藏的。

神卻對他說：‘無知的人哪，今天晚上，你的靈魂必被取去，你所預備的要歸給誰呢？’

誰是智慧人，讓他明白這些事吧！誰是有見識的人，讓他領會這一切吧！因為耶和華的道路是正直的，義人要行在其中，惡人卻必在其上絆倒。

你曾說：‘我必永遠作王后！’所以你不把這些事放在心上，也不思想這事的結局。

但願你一向都留心聽從我的命令，這樣你的平安就像河水滔滔，你的公義就如海浪滾滾；你的後裔必像海沙那麼多，你腹中的子孫要如沙粒這樣多；他們的名字必不會被剪除，也不會從我面前消滅。

凡有智慧的，願他留意這些事；願他思想耶和華的慈愛。

先知說假預言，祭司憑己意把持權柄。我的子民竟喜愛這樣，到了結局你們怎麼辦呢？”

她的污穢沾滿了衣裙；她從不思想自己的結局。所以她令人驚異地敗落了；沒有人安慰她。她說：“耶和華啊！求你看看我的苦難，因為仇敵顯為大。”

願人因耶和華的慈愛，和他向世人所行的奇事稱謝他。

使用不公正的方法發財的，就像一隻鷓鴣孵了不是自己所生的蛋；到了中年，那財富必離開他，最後他必成為一個愚昧人。

到降罰的日子，有災禍從遠方來到，那時你們要怎樣行呢？你們可以向誰逃奔求助呢？你們可以把你們的財寶撇在哪裡呢？
