I will send wasting famine against them, consuming pestilence and deadly plague; I will send against them the fangs of wild beasts, the venom of vipers that glide in the dust.

I will send them hunger. It will make them weak. I will send terrible sickness. I will send deadly plagues. I will send wild animals that will tear them apart. Snakes that glide through the dust will bite them.

雖匿於迦密之巔、我將搜而取之下、雖藏於海底、以避我目、我必命蛇噬之於彼、

主天主如是云、我使四暴災降於耶路撒冷、即鋒刃、饑饉、猛獸、疫癘、於其中絕人與畜、其害豈非尤重乎、

狼與羔同食、獅囓草如牛、蛇以塵為食、遍我聖山、不傷人、不害人、此乃主所言、

瘟癘行於其前、熱疫熱疫或作病災隨於其後、

見其安靜可嘉、土壤腴美、以肩負荷、入貢為役、○

因主面前之光輝、密雲流行、冰雹火炭降下、主從天上起雷、至上之主發大聲、冰雹火炭降下、主射箭使仇人奔逃、閃電使敵人迷亂、

爾曹欲主之日速至、則為有禍、主之日幽暗無光、何欲其至哉、譬諸人避獅而遇熊、入室手倚墻壁、為蛇所噬、

耶和華天主謂蛇曰、爾既為此、必較六畜百獸更加見詛、或作必在六畜百獸中見詛爾必腹行、終身食土、

敵窘迫爾、爾被困受窘迫、甚至爾食子女之肉、己之所生、主爾之天主所賜爾者、

哺乳之嬰、厥口甚渴、舌卷卷原文作貼上齶、孩提求餅、無人擘而予之、素食肥甘者、今亡於逵衢、昔臥朱褥者、今偃於糞壤、昔所多瑪邪慝、忽致傾覆、不假人手、今我民作惡遭刑、較彼尤重、或作昔所多瑪俄頃傾覆並未藉人力我民之罪愆較所多瑪之罪愆尤重昔彼貴顯者、潔於雪、白於乳、體體或作色較珊瑚猶紅、形美如藍寶石、今則面黑於炭、皮膚貼骨、枯如槁木、以致在街市無人識之、亡於鋒刃者、較死於饑饉者猶為幸、死於饑饉者、土產罄盡、日漸衰微、

主必使爾患癆、患熱、患燒、患瘧、又遭兵戈、五穀因風而燥、細弱枯稿、使此諸災逼迫爾、致爾滅亡、
