「所以，主耶和華對牠們如此說：看哪，我要親自在肥羊和瘦羊中間施行審判。

他們得到餵養，就飽足；既得飽足，就心高氣傲，因而忘記了我。

他們肥胖光潤，作惡過甚，不為人伸冤，不為孤兒伸冤，使他們勝訴，也不為貧窮人辯護。

我下來是要救他們脫離埃及人的手，領他們從那地上來，到美好與寬闊之地，到流奶與蜜之地，就是迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人之地。

搶奪我產業的啊，你們因歡喜快樂，像踹穀嬉戲的母牛犢，又像發嘶聲的壯馬。

你吃得飽足，要稱頌耶和華－你的神，因為他將那美地賜給你。」「你要謹慎，免得忘記耶和華－你的神，不守他的誡命、典章、律例，就是我今日吩咐你的。免得你吃得飽足，建造上好的房屋，住在其中，你的牛羊增多，你的金銀增多，你擁有的一切全都增多，於是你的心高傲，忘記耶和華－你的神。他曾將你從埃及地為奴之家領出來，

他們在本國領受你大恩的時候，在你所賜給他們這廣大肥沃之地不事奉你，也不轉離他們的惡行。

他們的心蒙昧如蒙油脂，我卻喜愛你的律法。

我也曾說：要把你們從埃及的困苦中領出來，往迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人的地去，就是到流奶與蜜之地。』

「耶書崙漸漸肥胖，能踼跳。你長得肥胖，粗壯，豐潤。他離棄造他的神，輕看救他的磐石。他們用外邦神明惹神妒忌，以可憎之物惹他發怒。他們祭祀鬼魔，而非神，是他們不認識的神明，是近來新興的，是你們列祖所不畏懼的。

「耶和華－你的神領你進入你要得為業之地，從你面前趕出許多國家，就是比你更強大的七個國家：赫人、革迦撒人、亞摩利人、迦南人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人。

耶和華對摩西說：「看哪，你必和你的祖先同睡。這百姓要起來，在他們所要去的地上，在那地的人中，隨從外邦的神明行淫，離棄我，違背我與他們所立的約。那時，我的怒氣必向他們發作，我必離棄他們，轉臉不顧他們，以致他們被吞滅，並有許多的禍患災難臨到他們。在那日，人必說：『這些禍患臨到我，豈不是因為我的神不在我中間嗎？』

失喪的，我必尋找；被逐的，我必領回；受傷的，我必包紮；有病的，我必醫治；只是肥的壯的，我要除滅；我必秉公牧養牠們。』

「耶和華－你的神必領你進入美地，那地有河流，有泉源和深淵的水從谷中和山上流出。

他們的心被油脂包裹，用口說驕傲的話。

他們的眼睛因體胖而凸出，他們的內心放任不羈。
