祂必改變你們被擄的境遇，憐憫你們，把你們從祂驅逐你們去的列國招聚回來。

那时，耶和华你的神必怜恤你，救回你这被掳的子民；耶和华你的神要回转过来，从分散你到的万民中将你招聚回来。

then the Lord your God will restore your fortunes and have compassion on you and gather you again from all the nations where he scattered you.

耶和華重建耶路撒冷，召集被擄去的以色列人。

主儘管使人憂傷，祂依然憐憫人，因為祂有無限的慈愛。

牧人怎樣尋找他四散的羊，我也照樣尋找我的羊，他們在密雲幽暗的日子失散到各地，我要把他們從那裡救回來。我要把他們從各國各族中領出來，帶他們回到自己的故土，我要在以色列的山嶺上、溪水旁和境內的草場上牧養他們。

同樣，他們現在不順服是為了使你們蒙憐憫，好使他們也蒙憐憫。

祂沒有忘記與他們立的約，因祂偉大無比的愛而憐憫他們。祂使擄掠他們的人憐憫他們。我們的上帝耶和華啊，求你拯救我們，從各國招聚我們，使我們可以稱謝你的聖名，歡然讚美你。

萬軍之耶和華說，『看啊，我要從東方和西方救出我的子民，帶他們回到耶路撒冷居住。他們要做我的子民，我要做他們信實和公義的上帝。』

就是耶和華的慈愛永不終止，祂的憐憫永無窮盡。

「列國啊，你們要聽耶和華的話，要在遠方的海島宣揚，『祂從前驅散以色列人，如今必再聚集、保護他們，好像牧人看守自己的羊群一樣。』

當然，如果以色列人不再頑固不信，必會重新被接上去，因為上帝能把他們重新接上。

『看啊，我極其憤怒地把他們驅散到各地，我也必招聚他們，領他們回到故土，使他們安居樂業。他們要做我的子民，我要做他們的上帝。我要使他們永遠全心全意地敬畏我，使他們和子孫得到福樂。我要與他們立永遠的約，永遠恩待他們，使他們對我心存敬畏，不再背棄我。我必以恩待他們為樂，全心全意在這地方培育他們。「『我曾降下這一切災禍給他們，我也要把我應許的福樂賜給他們。這是耶和華說的。耶利米啊，你們說這地方落在了迦勒底人手中，變得一片荒涼，人獸絕跡。但將來這地方必再有人置買田產。在便雅憫境內，耶路撒冷周圍和猶大的城邑，以及山區、丘陵、南部的城邑中，必有人置買田地，簽訂地契，蓋封印，請人作證，因為我必使被擄的人回到故土。這是耶和華說的。』」

全以色列都要得救。正如聖經上說：「救主必從錫安出來，祂將除去雅各子孫的罪惡。

耶和華帶領被擄者歸回耶路撒冷的時候，我們猶如在夢中。我們笑聲不止，歡呼歌唱。列邦都說：「耶和華為他們成就了偉大的事。」耶和華實在為我們成就了偉大的事，我們充滿了喜樂。耶和華啊，求你恢復我們的繁榮，就像乾旱的南地重現溪流。

波斯王塞魯士元年，耶和華為要應驗祂藉耶利米所說的話，就感動波斯王塞魯士，使他下詔通告全國：「波斯王塞魯士如此說，『天上的上帝耶和華已把天下萬國都賜給我，祂吩咐我在猶大的耶路撒冷為祂建造殿宇。你們當中凡是耶和華的子民，都可以去猶大的耶路撒冷，為住在耶路撒冷的以色列的上帝耶和華建殿，願上帝與他們同在！凡留下不回國的人，無論住在哪裡，都要用金銀、財物和牲畜幫助同區那些將要回國的人，此外還要為耶路撒冷的上帝的殿獻上自願獻的禮物。』」

招聚以色列流亡者的主耶和華說：「除了這些被招聚回來的人以外，我還要招聚其他人。」
