儻約書亞曾以安息賜之、則後必不復言他日矣、

我於發育萬有之上帝、及證善承於本丟彼拉多之基督耶穌前、諭爾宜守此命、無玷無責、俟我主耶穌基督之顯、

我列祖承受此幕、偕約書亞攜入異邦而居之、即上帝在我列祖前逐彼之時、以至大衛之日、

我子所羅門歟、當識爾父之上帝、盡心樂意以事之、蓋耶和華鑒察眾心、洞悉意想、爾若尋之、則必遇之、爾若棄之、彼必永久棄爾、爾其慎旃、因耶和華簡爾建室、以為聖所、強乃志而為之、○

我子乎、宜於基督耶穌之恩而剛健、爾於多證者前、所聞於我者、宜託忠信之人、俾能訓他人、爾當共苦、如基督耶穌之勁卒、

我於上帝及將鞫生者死者之基督耶穌前、以其顯與其國諭爾、宜宣道、無論得時與否、必專務之、以恆忍訓誨、而質證、斥責、勸勉、蓋時至、人將不容正教、因其耳癢而徇己慾、多集厥師、厭聞真理、轉向虛談、爾惟事事節制耐苦、作宣道之工、以盡厥職、蓋我方被灌奠、逝期至矣、

耶和華諭約書亞曰、自今日始、我將使爾為大於以色列眾前、俾知我今偕爾、如昔偕摩西然、當命舁約匱之祭司、至約但濱、立於水中、約書亞告以色列人曰、爾曹前來、聽爾上帝耶和華之言、又曰、爾可知維生上帝在於爾中、必於爾前驅逐迦南人、赫人、希未人、比利洗人、革迦撒人、亞摩利人、耶布斯人、全地主宰之約匱、先爾而入約但河中、今在以色列支派中、當簡十二人、每支派一人、祭司舁全地主宰耶和華之約匱、立足約但水中時、水必斷流、自上而下之水、必立為堆、民既離幕、欲濟約但、祭司舁約匱先民而行、時值收穫、約但水溢於岸、舁約匱之祭司至河、足濡於水、自上而下之水、遂立為堆、相離甚遠、在撒拉但旁之亞當邑、其流於亞拉巴鹽海之水悉絕、民乃由耶利哥相對之處而濟、舁耶和華約匱之祭司、穩立燥土、在約但河中、待以色列族盡由陸地、而過約但、

夫律由摩西而授、恩寵真理、則由耶穌基督而來、

我僕摩西死矣、今爾與民起而濟此約但、往我所賜以色列族之地、

我子歟、願耶和華偕爾、願爾亨通、建爾上帝耶和華之室、循其所言、願耶和華賦爾睿智聰明、使爾受命治以色列、守爾上帝耶和華之律、爾若遵行耶和華藉摩西、命以色列人之典章律例、則必亨通、強乃心、壯乃志、勿畏葸、勿恐惶、我於困難中、為耶和華室、備金十萬他連得、銀百萬他連得、銅鐵甚多、莫權其數、亦備木石、爾可增益之、且爾多有匠役、石工木工、及諸巧匠、金銀銅鐵無數、爾其興起造作、願耶和華偕爾、
