But because of you the Lord was angry with me and would not listen to me.“ That is enough,” the Lord said.“ Do not speak to me anymore about this matter.

因為你們的緣故，耶和華也向我發怒，說：‘你也不能進入那地；

對他們說：“我現今一百二十歲，不能再照常出入了；耶和華也曾對我說：你必不得過這約旦河。

他們在米利巴水邊惹耶和華發怒，以致摩西因他們的緣故也受了懲罰。因為他們抗拒神的靈（“他們抗拒神的靈”或譯：“他們激動摩西的心”），摩西用嘴說出冒失的話。

耶和華對他說：“這就是我曾經向亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起誓應許之地，說：‘我要把這地賜給你的後裔。’現在我讓你親眼看見了，可是你不能過到那邊去。”

只是耶和華的話臨到我說：‘你流了許多人的血，打了很多大仗；你不可為我的名建造殿宇，因為你在我面前流了許多人的血在地上。看哪，你必生一個兒子；他是個和平的人，我必使他得享太平，不被四圍所有的仇敵騷擾；他的名字要叫所羅門，他在位的日子，我必把太平和安寧賜給以色列人。他要為我的名建造殿宇；他要作我的兒子，我要作他的父親；我必堅立他的國位，永遠統治以色列。’

因為你們在尋的曠野，在加低斯米利巴水邊，在以色列人中間悖逆我，在以色列人中間沒有尊我為聖。我賜給以色列人的地，你可以從對面觀看，卻不得進去。”

“你去對我的僕人大衛說：‘耶和華這樣說：你不可建殿給我居住。

耶和華對摩西說：“你要拿著杖，和你的哥哥亞倫聚集會眾，在他們眼前，吩咐磐石出水；這樣你就可以使磐石流出水來，給會眾和他們的牲畜喝。”於是，摩西照著耶和華吩咐他的，從耶和華面前拿了杖去。摩西和亞倫聚集了會眾到磐石面前；摩西對他們說：“悖逆的人哪，你們要聽，我們為你們使水從磐石中流出來嗎？”摩西舉手，用杖擊打磐石兩次，就有很多水流出來，會眾和他們的牲畜都喝了。耶和華對摩西和亞倫說：“因為你們不信我，不在以色列人眼前尊我為聖，所以你們必不得領這會眾進入我賜給他們的地。”

為了這事，我曾經三次求主，使這根刺離開我。

他稍往前走，把臉俯伏在地上，禱告說：“我的父啊！可能的話，求你使這杯離開我；但不要照我的意思，只要照你的旨意。”

耶和華吩咐摩西說：“你要上這亞巴琳山去，看看我賜給以色列人的地。看了以後，你也必歸到你的本族那裡去，像你哥哥亞倫歸去一樣。因為在尋的曠野，會眾爭鬧的時候，你們違背了我的命令，沒有在湧水之地，在會眾眼前尊我為聖。”這湧水之地在尋的曠野，就是加低斯的米利巴水。

他要為我建造殿宇，我必堅立他的王位，直到永遠。我要作他的父親，他要作我的兒子；我的慈愛必不離開他，像離開在你以前的那位一樣；

大衛王站起來，說：“我的兄弟，我的人民哪，你們要聽我的話；我心裡有意要建造一所安放耶和華的約櫃的殿宇，作我們的神的腳凳，並且我已經準備好要建造。可是神對我說：‘你不可為我的名建造殿宇，因為你是個戰士，曾殺人流血。’然而耶和華以色列的神，在我父的全家揀選了我作以色列人的王，直到永遠；因為他揀選了猶大作領袖；在猶大家中揀選了我的父家；在我父親的眾子中，他喜悅我，立我作全以色列的王；

然而他是為了我們的過犯被刺透，為了我們的罪孽被壓傷；使我們得平安的懲罰加在他身上，因他受了鞭傷，我們才得醫治。我們眾人都如羊走迷了路，各人偏行己路；耶和華卻把我們眾人的罪孽，都歸在他身上。

耶穌回答：“你們不知道你們求的是甚麼。我將要喝的杯，你們能喝嗎？”他們說：“能。”
