to confirm you this day as his people, that he may be your God as he promised you and as he swore to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Today he wants to show you that you are his people and that he is your God. That’s what he promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

that he may establish you today as his people, and that he may be your God, as he promised you, and as he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.

By entering into the covenant today, he will establish you as his people and confirm that he is your God, just as he promised you and as he swore to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

我要和你並你的子子孫孫立永恆的約，我要做你和你子孫的上帝。

我要接納你們做我的子民，我要做你們的上帝。這樣，你們就知道我是你們的上帝耶和華，曾救你們脫離埃及人的轄制。

「你們若遵守你們上帝耶和華的誡命，遵行祂的旨意，祂必按自己的誓言使你們成為祂聖潔的子民。

耶和華說：「看啊，時候將到，我要與以色列家和猶大家另立新約，這約不同於我與他們祖先所立的約，就是我牽著他們祖先的手領他們離開埃及時所立的。雖然我是他們的丈夫，他們卻違背了我的約。這是耶和華說的。」耶和華說：「那些日子以後，我將與以色列家立這樣的約，我要把我的律法放在他們腦中，寫在他們心上。我要做他們的上帝，他們要做我的子民。

然而，他們渴慕的是天上更美的家鄉。所以，上帝不以被他們稱為上帝為恥，因為祂已經為他們預備了一座城。

因為你們屬於你們的上帝耶和華，是聖潔的民族，祂從天下萬族中揀選了你們做祂的子民——祂寶貴的產業。

耶和華今天已經照祂的應許宣稱你們是祂的子民，是祂寶貴的產業。因此，你們要遵守祂的一切誡命，這樣祂必使你們備受讚譽和尊崇，超越祂所造的萬國，並照著祂的應許使你們做屬於祂的聖潔子民。」

他們要做我的子民，我要做他們的上帝。

你寄居在這裡，我必與你同在，賜福給你，因為我必把這些土地賜給你和你的後代，堅立我對你父親亞伯拉罕的誓約。我必使你的後代多如繁星，將這些土地都賜給他們，天下萬國必因你的後裔而蒙福。

耶和華站在梯子上對雅各說：「我是耶和華，是你祖父亞伯拉罕的上帝，也是以撒的上帝。我要把你現在躺臥的地方賜給你和你的後代。你的後代必多如地上的塵沙，遍佈四方，地上萬族必因你和你的後代而蒙福。我與你同在，無論你去哪裡，我都會保護你，領你返回這片土地。我必實現對你的應許，決不離棄你。」
