你们从前不是子民，但如今却是神的子民；从前没有蒙怜悯，但如今却蒙了怜悯。各位蒙爱的人哪，我劝你们：做为过客和寄居的，要远避那与你们灵魂争战的肉体欲望。

难道你们不知道，不义的人不会继承神的国吗？不要被迷惑了！无论是淫乱的、拜偶像的、通奸的、做娈童的、同性恋的、偷窃的、贪心的、酗酒的、诽谤人的、勒索人的，都不会继承神的国。你们有些人过去是这样，但是藉着主耶稣基督的名，藉着我们神的灵，你们已经被洗净了，被分别为圣了，被称为义了。

你们从前原是黑暗，但如今在主里就是光；你们要像属于光的儿女行走，原来属于光的果子，就是一切良善、公义、真理；

感谢神！虽然你们过去是罪的奴仆，但现在却从心里顺从了所传给你们的教导内容，从罪中得了释放，成为义的奴仆。

但如今，你们既从罪中得了释放，成为神的奴仆，就得了果子，以致分别为圣，那结局就是永恒的生命。
