‘ Cursed is the one who disrespects his father and mother.’ Then all the people will say,‘ Amen!’

輕視父母者、必受詛、眾民當應曰、阿們、

又曰、藐視父母者、當服咒詛、民必群應曰、固心所願。

不敬父母者、必受咒詛、眾民當應曰、阿們、

“ Cursed is anyone who dishonors their father or mother.” Then all the people shall say,“ Amen!”

“ May anyone who brings shame on their father or mother be under the Lord’ s curse.” Then all the people will say,“ Amen!”

“‘ Cursed be anyone who dishonors his father or his mother.’ And all the people shall say,‘ Amen.’

‘ Cursed is anyone who dishonors father or mother.’ And all the people will reply,‘ Amen.’

‘ The one who dishonors his father or mother is cursed.’ And all the people will say,‘ Amen!’

‘ Cursed is one who treats his father or mother contemptuously.’ And all the people shall say,‘ Amen.’

‘ Cursed is the one who treats his father or his mother with contempt.’“ And all the people shall say,‘ Amen!’

Cursed be he that setteth light by his father or his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.

‘ The one who dishonors his father or mother is cursed.’ And all the people will say,‘ Amen!’

Each of you must respect his mother and his father, and you must keep my Sabbaths. I am the LORD your God.

“ Whoever treats his father or his mother disgracefully must surely be put to death.

“ Honor your father and your mother, that you may live a long time in the land the LORD your God is giving to you.

If a person has a stubborn, rebellious son who pays no attention to his father or mother, and they discipline him to no avail,his father and mother must seize him and bring him to the elders at the gate of his city.They must declare to the elders of his city,“ Our son is stubborn and rebellious and pays no attention to what we say– he is a glutton and drunkard.”Then all the men of his city must stone him to death. In this way you will purge out wickedness from among you, and all Israel will hear about it and be afraid.

They have treated father and mother with contempt within you; they have oppressed the foreigner among you; they have wronged the orphan and the widow within you.

There is a generation who curse their fathers and do not bless their mothers.There is a generation who are pure in their own eyes and yet are not washed from their filthiness.There is a generation whose eyes are so lofty, and whose eyelids are lifted up disdainfully.There is a generation whose teeth are like swords and whose molars are like knives to devour the poor from the earth and the needy from among the human race.The leech has two daughters:“ Give! Give!” There are three things that are never satisfied, four that never say,“ Enough”–the grave, the barren womb, land that is not satisfied with water, and fire that never says,“ Enough!”The eye that mocks at a father and despises obeying a mother– the ravens of the valley will peck it out and the young vultures will eat it.

For God said,‘ Honor your father and mother’ and‘ Whoever insults his father or mother must be put to death.’But you say,‘ If someone tells his father or mother,“ Whatever help you would have received from me is given to God,”he does not need to honor his father.’ You have nullified the word of God on account of your tradition.

“‘ If anyone curses his father and mother he must be put to death. He has cursed his father and mother; his blood guilt is on himself.
