故必聽從其言、行其誡命典章、乃我今日所諭爾者也、○

Obey the Lord your God and follow his commands and decrees that I give you today.”

世人哪，耶和华已指示你何为善。他向你所要的是什么呢？只要你行公义，好怜悯，存谦卑的心与你的上帝同行。

所以，你们要完全，如同你们的天父是完全的。”

作为顺服的儿女，就不要效法从前蒙昧无知的时候那放纵私欲的样子。但那召你们的既是圣洁，你们在一切所行的事上也要圣洁；因为经上记着：“你们要成为圣，因为我是神圣的。”

“你要爱耶和华—你的上帝，天天遵守他的吩咐、律例、典章、诫命。

惟有你们亲眼见过耶和华所做的一切大事。”“所以，你们要遵守我今日所吩咐的一切诫命，使你们刚强，可以进去得你们所要得的那地，就是你们将过河到那里要得的，

“以色列啊，现在耶和华—你的上帝向你要的是什么呢？只要你敬畏耶和华—你的上帝，遵行他一切的道，爱他，尽心尽性事奉耶和华—你的上帝，遵守耶和华的诫命律例，就是我今日所吩咐你的，为要使你得福。

万民都奉自己神明的名行事，我们却要奉耶和华—我们上帝的名而行，直到永永远远。

所以我这样说，且在主里郑重地说，你们行事为人，不要再像外邦人存虚妄的心而活。他们心地昏昧，因自己无知，心里刚硬而与上帝所赐的生命隔绝了。既然他们已经麻木，就放纵情欲，贪婪地行种种污秽的事。但你们从基督学的不是这样。如果你们听过他的道，领了他的教，因为真理就在耶稣里，你们要脱去从前的行为，脱去旧我；这旧我是因私欲的迷惑而渐渐败坏的。你们要把自己的心志更新，并且穿上新我；这新我是照着上帝的形像造的，有从真理来的公义和圣洁。

“你要吩咐以色列全会众，对他们说：你们要成为圣，因为我耶和华—你们的上帝是神圣的。

既然基督在肉身受苦，你们也该将这样的心志作为兵器，因为在肉身受过苦的已经与罪断绝了，使你们从今以后不再随从人的情欲，只顺从上帝的旨意，在世度余下的光阴。因为你们从前随从外邦人的心意，生活在淫荡、情欲、醉酒、荒宴、狂饮和可憎的偶像崇拜中，时候已经够了。
