世人都當在耶和華面前肅靜，因為祂要從聖所起來了。

以色列的上帝——萬軍之耶和華說：「我使被擄的猶大人回到故鄉後，他們要在猶大各城邑再次呼喊，『公義的居所啊，聖山啊，願耶和華賜福給你！』

『天是我的寶座，地是我的腳凳，你們要為我造怎樣的殿宇？哪裡可作我的安歇之處？

求你從天上的居所垂聽，應允他們的祈求，好叫天下萬民都像你的以色列子民一樣認識你的名，敬畏你，並知道我建造的這殿屬於你的名下。

耶和華說：「天是我的寶座，地是我的腳凳，你們要為我造怎樣的殿宇？哪裡可作我的安歇之處？一切都是我親手創造的。這是耶和華說的。我看顧謙卑、悔過、對我的話心存敬畏的人。

「然而，上帝啊，你真的會住在人間嗎？看啊，諸天尚且不夠你居住，更何況我建造的這殿呢？

於是，我們呼求我們祖先的上帝耶和華。祂聽見我們的呼求，看見我們的艱難、困苦和所受的壓迫，

耶路撒冷啊，倘若我忘了你，情願我的右手無法再撥弄琴弦；倘若我忘了你，不以你為我的至愛，情願我的舌頭不能再歌唱。

耶和華眷顧我們，賜福給我們。祂要賜福給以色列人，賜福給亞倫家。耶和華要賜福給一切敬畏祂的人，不分尊貴卑賤。願耶和華使你們和你們的後代人丁興旺！願創造天地的耶和華賜福給你們！

耶和華從至高的聖所俯視人間，從天上察看大地，要垂聽被囚之人的哀歎，釋放被判死刑的人。

求你恩待錫安，重建耶路撒冷的城牆。

耶和華啊，求你拯救你的子民，賜福給你揀選的人，如牧人般照顧他們，永遠扶持他們。

主耶和華的靈在我身上，因為耶和華膏立了我，讓我傳福音給貧窮的人，差遣我醫治傷心的人，宣告被擄的人得釋放、被囚的人得自由；

那至高至上、永遠長存的聖者說：「我住在至高至聖之處，但我也跟痛悔、謙卑的人同住，使他們心靈振作。

願主——我們的上帝恩待我們，使我們所做的亨通，使我們所做的亨通。

當初，上帝向亞伯拉罕許下諾言的時候，因為沒有比自己更大的可以憑著起誓，就憑自己起誓說：「我必賜福給你，使你子孫眾多。」亞伯拉罕經過耐心的等待，得到了上帝的應許。人總是指著比自己更大的起誓，並用誓言作保證，了結各樣的爭論。同樣，上帝為要向承受應許的人顯明祂的旨意絕不更改，就用誓言向他們保證。上帝絕不說謊，祂將永不改變的應許和誓言給了我們，使我們這些尋找避難所、持定擺在前面之盼望的人可以大得鼓勵。
