When you are harvesting in your field and you overlook a sheaf, do not go back to get it. Leave it for the foreigner, the fatherless and the widow, so that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.

When you are gathering crops in your field, you might leave some grain behind by mistake. Don’t go back to get it. Leave it behind for outsiders and widows. Leave it for children whose fathers have died. Then the Lord your God will bless you in everything you do.

豈非頒食於飢者、導流離之貧民、寓於爾室、見裸者而衣之、不掩面於骨肉乎、若此、爾之輝光、必著若朝暉、爾之得醫、將速見其效、爾之公義、顯於爾前、我耶和華之榮光、衛於爾後、爾祈禱、耶和華必應、爾籲呼、必曰我在斯、爾若去人之軛、不指摘、不妄言、施仁慈於飢人、滿困苦者之欲、爾之輝光、必見於暗、爾之晦冥、必若日中之明、耶和華將恆導爾、在於旱乾之地、俾爾滿志、骨骸堅固、爾必如灌溉之園囿、若不竭之泉源、

惟設筵請貧者、殘者、跛者、瞽者、則爾福矣、蓋彼無以報爾、而於義人復起時、爾將得報也、○

則於爾上帝耶和華前告曰、為聖之物、我已出之我家、給與利未人及賓旅孤寡、循爾所諭、爾之命令、我未干犯、亦未遺忘、

眷顧貧乏者福矣、遭難之日、耶和華必援之兮、耶和華必佑之、使之生存、獲福於斯土、勿付之於敵、以遂其欲兮、彼委頓在牀、耶和華必扶持之、於疾病時、治其臥榻兮、

惟高明者所謀高明、恆處高明、○

既撲橄欖、毋得再撲、必歸賓旅及孤寡、既摘葡萄、毋得再摘、必歸賓旅及孤寡、

彼散財、彼濟貧、其義永存、其角以榮高舉兮、

夫少稼少穡、多稼多穡、宜各隨心志、毋憂毋強、蓋上帝愛夫樂施者也、上帝能沛諸恩於爾、令爾萬事恆足、溢於諸善、

耶和華錫嘏約伯之暮年、尤盛於疇昔、有羊一萬四千、駝六千、牛一千耦、牝驢一千、

凡有斯世之財產者、視兄弟匱乏、自塞其矜恤之心、則上帝之愛烏得寓其衷哉、小子乎、我儕之愛、勿以言以舌、乃以行以誠也、於此知我儕由於真理、凡我心所自責者、則將安之於上帝前、

予則見予、且以巨量、按之、撼之、溢之、納爾懷中、蓋爾以何量而量、將以復量於爾、○

爾必給之、給時心不憂鬱、為此之故、爾上帝耶和華、必於凡爾所行、及手所為、錫嘏於爾、

我若禁貧者得其所願、使嫠婦之目失望、一飯之微、我若獨食、不與孤子共之、其實我自幼年、收養孤子、如育於父、自出母腹、引導媰孀、我若見人無衣而亡、貧者無服蔽體、其人若未得衣、為我祝嘏、其身若未以我羊羢而煖、我在邑門、見有助我者、即舉手以攻孤子、則願我肩脫於缺盆骨、我之臂骨斷折、

蔑鄰者干罪、恤貧者有福、

惟爾當愛爾敵、而善待之、貸於人而不絕望、則爾賞大矣、且爾將為至上者之子、蓋彼施仁於辜恩及不善者矣、

可由禾束、少抽數莖、故遺於地、容其拾之、勿叱之、
