Return their cloak by sunset so that your neighbor may sleep in it. Then they will thank you, and it will be regarded as a righteous act in the sight of the Lord your God.

Return it before the sun goes down. They need it to sleep in and will thank you for returning it. The Lord your God will see it and know that you have done the right thing.

You shall restore to him the pledge as the sun sets, that he may sleep in his cloak and bless you. And it shall be righteousness for you before the Lord your God.

你們發怒卻不可繼續犯罪，不可生氣到日落，

如果你這樣做，你的光就必噴薄而出，如同黎明的光；你也必速速康復；你的公義必行在你前面，耶和華的榮耀必作你的後盾；

願主施憐憫給奧尼斯弗羅的家人，因為他多次使我神清氣爽，也沒有以我的鎖鏈為恥；相反，他一到羅馬，就殷切地尋找我，並且找到了。願主使他在那日子得到主的憐憫！至於他在以弗所的一切服事工作，你知道得更清楚。

他們藉著這次服事的憑證，因你們順服了那為基督福音所做的告白，也因你們給他們和眾人的慷慨分享，他們就會榮耀神；並且他們因著神賜給你們這無限的恩典，就切切地想念你們，為你們祈禱。

那時非尼哈站出來干預，瘟疫才被止住。這就算為他的義，世世代代，直到永遠。

在父神看來，純潔而沒有玷汙的虔誠是這樣的：照顧患難中的孤兒寡婦，並且保守自己不受世界的玷汙。

亞伯蘭信耶和華，耶和華就以此算為他的義。

要知道，那不施憐憫的人，要受毫無憐憫的審判；憐憫勝過審判。我的弟兄們，如果有人說自己有信仰，但卻沒有行為，這有什麼好處呢？難道這種信仰能救他嗎？如果有弟兄或姐妹衣不蔽體，又缺乏日用的食物，而你們當中有人對他們說：「平平安安地去吧！願你們穿得暖、吃得飽！」，卻不給他們身體所需要的，這有什麼好處呢？信仰也是這樣：如果沒有行為，這信仰就是死的。不過有人會說：「你有信仰；我有行為。」請給我看看你沒有行為的信仰，我也本於自己的行為給你看看我的信仰。你相信神只有一位，你就做得很好！連鬼魔也相信，並且恐懼戰兢。唉，你這虛空的人哪！你想知道沒有行為的信仰是無用的嗎？我們的先祖亞伯拉罕把他的兒子以撒獻在祭壇上，難道不是本於行為被稱為義嗎？你看，信仰和他的行為相輔相成，而且信仰是本於行為得以完全的。這就應驗了經上所說的：「亞伯拉罕信神，這就被算為他的義。」他又被稱為「神的朋友」。
