如義人背義行惡、我置窒礙於其前、彼必死亡、爾不警之、彼死於罪、所行之義、不復見憶、我必索其血於爾手、

致能驗至善、純粹無疵、迄於基督之日、

故我今日為證於爾、眾人之血、我無與焉、蓋上帝之旨、我無隱諱、悉宣於爾、

勿使人躓礙、或猶太人、或希利尼人、或上帝會、

陷信我小子之一者、寧以巨磨懸其頸、沉於深海、禍哉斯世、以其陷人故也、夫陷人於罪、事所必有、但陷人者禍矣、

故勿復相擬議、寧定志不設絆檻於兄弟前、

我謂惡人曰、爾必死、如爾不警之、不以言戒之、使彼轉離其惡途、以救其生命、則彼惡人必死於其罪、我必索其血於爾手、
