並且來傳和平的福音給你們遠處的人，也傳和平給那些近處的人，

無論進哪一家，先要說：『願這一家平安。』那裏若有當得平安的人，你們所求的平安就必臨到那家，不然，將歸還你們。

一切都是出於神；他藉着基督使我們與他和好，又將勸人與他和好的使命賜給我們。這就是：神在基督裏使世人與自己和好，不將他們的過犯歸到他們身上，並且將這和好的信息託付了我們。所以，我們作基督的特使，就好像神藉我們勸你們一般。我們替基督求你們，與神和好吧！神使那無罪的，替我們成為罪，好使我們在他裏面成為神的義。我們與神同工的也勸你們，不可白受他的恩典；

我要醫治他，他要結出嘴唇的果實。平安，平安，歸給遠處和近處的人！這是耶和華說的。」

神藉着耶穌基督－他是萬有的主－傳和平的福音，把這道傳給以色列人。

我必除滅以法蓮的戰車和耶路撒冷的戰馬；戰爭的弓也必剪除。他要向列國講和平；他的權柄必從這海管到那海，從大河管到地極。

婦人說：「古時有話說，當在亞比拉求問，事情就可以解決。我在以色列中是和平、忠誠的。你現在想要毀壞這城，以色列的根源，為何你要吞滅耶和華的產業呢？」約押回答說：「不，我絕不吞滅和毀壞！話不是這麼說的，只是因為有一個以法蓮山區的人，就是比基利的兒子名叫示巴，他舉手攻擊大衛王；你們只要把他一人交出來，我就離城而去。」婦人對約押說：「看哪，他的首級必從城牆上丟給你。」婦人憑她的智慧去勸眾百姓，他們就割下比基利的兒子示巴的首級，丟給約押。約押吹角，眾人就離城散開，各回自己的帳棚去了。約押回耶路撒冷，到王那裏。
