Do this so that innocent blood will not be shed in your land, which the Lord your God is giving you as your inheritance, and so that you will not be guilty of bloodshed.

Do it to protect those not guilty of murder. Then you won’t spill their blood in your land. It’s the land the Lord your God is giving you as your own.

lest innocent blood be shed in your land that the Lord your God is giving you for an inheritance, and so the guilt of bloodshed be upon you.

That way you will prevent the death of innocent people in the land the Lord your God is giving you as your special possession. You will not be held responsible for the death of innocent people.

In this way, innocent blood will not be shed, and you will not become guilty of bloodshed in the land the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance.

So innocent blood will not be shed in the midst of your land which the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, and guilt for bloodshed will not be on you.

就是高傲的眼，撒谎的舌，杀害无辜的手，

他们的脚奔跑行恶，急速流无辜者的血；他们的思想全是恶念，走过的路尽是破坏与毁灭。

说：“我出卖了无辜人的血有罪了。”他们说：“那跟我们有什么相干？你自己承当吧！”犹大就把那银钱丢在殿里，出去吊死了。

这样，你们就不会污秽所住之地，因为血能使地污秽；若有血流在地上，除非流那杀人者的血，否则那地就不得洁净。

于是他们求告耶和华说：“耶和华啊，求求你不要因这人的性命使我们灭亡，不要使流无辜人血的罪归给我们；因为你—耶和华随自己的旨意行事。”

你的眼不可顾惜他，要从以色列中除掉流无辜血的罪，使你得福。”

“在耶和华—你上帝所赐你为业的地上，若发现有人被杀，暴尸野地，不知道是谁杀的，长老和审判官就要出去，从尸体那里量起，量到四围的城镇，看哪一座城最靠近这尸体，那城的几位长老就要取一头未曾耕地、未曾负轭的母牛犊；那城的长老要把这母牛犊牵到流着溪水、未曾耕耘、未曾撒种的山谷去，在谷中打断它的颈项。利未人祭司要近前来，因为耶和华—你的上帝拣选他们来事奉他，奉耶和华的名祝福，并且有任何的争讼和殴打，都由他们的口判决。离尸体最近的那座城的每位长老要在山谷中，在颈项被打断的母牛犊上面洗手，声明说：‘我们的手未曾流这人的血；我们的眼也未曾看见这事。耶和华啊，求你赦免你所救赎的百姓以色列，不要让无辜的血归在你的百姓以色列中间。’这样，他们流血的罪就必得赦免。你行了耶和华眼中看为正的事，就可以从你中间除掉无辜的血。”

王对他说：“你可以照着他的话去做，杀了他，把他葬了，好叫约押流无辜人血的罪不归在我和我的父家。

不欺压寄居的和孤儿寡妇，不在这地方流无辜人的血，也不随从别神陷害自己，我就使你们仍然居住这地，就是我从古时所赐给你们祖先的地，从永远到永远。

埃及必定荒凉，以东成为荒凉的旷野，因为他们向犹大人行残暴，又因他们在本地流无辜人的血。

玛拿西行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，使犹大陷入罪里，又流许多无辜人的血，直到这血充满了耶路撒冷，从这边到那边。

又因他流无辜人的血，使无辜人的血充满耶路撒冷；耶和华不愿赦免。

他们大家聚集攻击义人，将无辜的人定了死罪。
