如爾邑中有詞訟、或因流血、或因爭競、或因鬥傷、爾所難鞫者、則當起、往主爾天主所選之處、

“你城中若起了争讼的事，或因流血，或因争竞，或因殴打，是你难断的案件，你就当起来，往耶和华你神所选择的地方

“你城中若有难以判断的案件，涉及流血，诉讼，或殴打等争讼的事，你就要起来，上到那里，耶和华—你上帝所选择的地方，

“你城中若有难以判断的案件，涉及流血，诉讼，或殴打等争讼的事，你就要起来，上到那里，耶和华—你神所选择的地方，

“如果案件复杂，难以决断，如谋杀、诉讼、人身伤害等，就要把案件带到你们的上帝耶和华选定的地方，

If cases come before your courts that are too difficult for you to judge— whether bloodshed, lawsuits or assaults— take them to the place the Lord your God will choose.

People will bring their cases to your courts. But some cases will be too hard for you to judge. They might be about murders, attacks or other crimes. Then take those hard cases to the place the Lord your God will choose.

“ If any case arises requiring decision between one kind of homicide and another, one kind of legal right and another, or one kind of assault and another, any case within your towns that is too difficult for you, then you shall arise and go up to the place that the Lord your God will choose.

“ Suppose a case arises in a local court that is too hard for you to decide— for instance, whether someone is guilty of murder or only of manslaughter, or a difficult lawsuit, or a case involving different kinds of assault. Take such legal cases to the place the Lord your God will choose,

“ If a case is too difficult for you— concerning bloodshed, lawsuits, or assaults— cases disputed at your city gates, then go up to the place the LORD your God chooses.

“ If a case is too difficult for you to decide, between one kind of homicide or another, between one kind of lawsuit or another, and between one kind of assault or another, that are cases of dispute in your courts, then you shall arise and go up to the place which the Lord your God chooses.

“ If a matter arises which is too hard for you to judge, between degrees of guilt for bloodshed, between one judgment or another, or between one punishment or another, matters of controversy within your gates, then you shall arise and go up to the place which the Lord your God chooses.

If there arise a matter too hard for thee in judgment, between blood and blood, between plea and plea, and between stroke and stroke, being matters of controversy within thy gates; then shalt thou arise, and get thee up unto the place which Jehovah thy God shall choose;

“ If a case is too difficult for you— concerning bloodshed, lawsuits, or assaults— cases disputed at your gates, you must go up to the place the Lord your God chooses.

If there arise a matter too hard for thee in judgment, between blood and blood, between plea and plea, and between stroke and stroke,[ being] matters of controversy within thy gates: then shalt thou arise, and get thee up into the place which the LORD thy God shall choose;

If a matter is too difficult for you to judge– bloodshed, legal claim, or assault– matters of controversy in your villages– you must leave there and go up to the place the LORD your God chooses.

人若以杖擊奴婢、死於手下、必受刑、

爭訟之二人、當近於主前、立於當時之祭司與士師前、

約沙法由利未人祭司及以色列人族長中選人、使之在耶路撒冷為主審鞫聽訟、於是歸耶路撒冷、命之曰、爾行此事、當敬畏主、盡忠義、有誠心、爾之同族居於各邑者、如有訟事就正、或為流血、或為犯律例、誡命、禮儀、法度、則爾當訓之勿獲罪於主、恐主怒爾及爾同族、爾如是行、則可以無過、

必擇數邑、定為逃避之邑、使誤殺人者可逃於彼、

殺人者遁於彼、保全生命、有其定例、素與人無仇怨、誤中殺人、

復仇者、必殺殺人之人、遇即殺之、若恨人而推之下、或特意以物擲其身致死、或因仇以手擊人致死、俱為故殺人者、必治之死、復仇者遇即殺之、若無仇偶然推人下、或無心擲物於人身、或在不見之時、以能斃人之石、擲於人身致死、彼原與之無仇、亦非欲害之、則會眾必於殺人者與復仇者間、循例而審鞫、會眾救殺人者、脫於復仇者手、使之歸所遁逃避之邑、居彼、直待受聖膏之大祭司卒、如殺人者、出所遁逃避之邑外、復仇者在逃避之邑境外、遇此殺人者而殺之、罪不歸復仇者、因殺人者、當居於逃避之邑、直待大祭司卒後、殺人者方可歸故土、此必於爾所居之地、歷代永守為例、凡殺人者、有人為證、必治之死、惟毋據一人之證治之死、凡殺人當死者、毋許贖命、必治之死、凡奔至逃避之邑者、大祭司未卒之先、亦毋許其納贖以歸故土、毋污爾所居之地、殺人流血、即為污其地、若殺人流血於地、不殺殺人者流其血、則地不得潔、毋污爾所居之地、因我耶和華亦居此地、在以色列人中、

人若相鬥、擊孕婦墮胎、而無別害、則當罰銀、依婦之夫所定之數、折衷於士師前、

知識宜在祭司之口、原文作祭司之唇當守知識既為萬有之主之使者、人當由其口求律法、

彼即隨時鞫民、凡事之艱鉅者、陳於摩西前、事之小者、則自鞫之、

若以鐵器擊人致死、是為故殺人者、必治之死、

諸支派向此而上、即主所選之支派、按以色列之常例、頌美主名、審判之座位設於其間、即大衛家之座位、

擊人死者殺無赦、若非有心殺人、乃天主偶付於其手、我必設一處、使可逃避、人若因仇用奸計殺人、雖逃至我祭臺、亦當執之而殺、○

人若遇盜穿窬、將盜擊死、不償其命、

免無辜之血、流於主爾之天主所賜爾為業之地、亦免流血之罪歸於爾、人若仇怨人、暗伏窺伺、乘機起而擊之、傷其生命、後逃於三邑中之一邑、

審鞫之時、勿以貌取人、聽訟勿分尊卑、不可畏人、蓋審鞫之事屬天主、如爾有難斷之事、則呈於我、而我聽之、
