Sacrifice an animal from your flock or herd. It is the Passover sacrifice to honor the Lord your God. Sacrifice it at the special place the Lord will choose. He will put his Name there.

And you shall offer the Passover sacrifice to the Lord your God, from the flock or the herd, at the place that the Lord will choose, to make his name dwell there.

Your Passover sacrifice may be from either the flock or the herd, and it must be sacrificed to the Lord your God at the designated place of worship— the place he chooses for his name to be honored.

On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked,“ Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?”

Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may be a new unleavened batch— as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.

The animals you choose must be year-old males without defect, and you may take them from the sheep or the goats.Take care of them until the fourteenth day of the month, when all the members of the community of Israel must slaughter them at twilight.Then they are to take some of the blood and put it on the sides and tops of the doorframes of the houses where they eat the lambs.

Then to the place the Lord your God will choose as a dwelling for his Name— there you are to bring everything I command you: your burnt offerings and sacrifices, your tithes and special gifts, and all the choice possessions you have vowed to the Lord.

On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, when it was customary to sacrifice the Passover lamb, Jesus’ disciples asked him,“ Where do you want us to go and make preparations for you to eat the Passover?”

Offer them only at the place the Lord will choose in one of your tribes, and there observe everything I command you.

“ As you know, the Passover is two days away— and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified.”

Josiah provided for all the lay people who were there a total of thirty thousand lambs and goats for the Passover offerings, and also three thousand cattle— all from the king’s own possessions.

“‘ On the fourteenth day of the first month the Lord’s Passover is to be held.On the fifteenth day of this month there is to be a festival; for seven days eat bread made without yeast.On the first day hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.Present to the Lord a food offering consisting of a burnt offering of two young bulls, one ram and seven male lambs a year old, all without defect.

Jesus sent Peter and John, saying,“ Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover.”
