And the one who plants a lot will gather a lot.Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give. You shouldn’t give if you don’t want to. You shouldn’t give because you are forced to. God loves a cheerful giver.And God is able to shower all kinds of blessings on you. So in all things and at all times you will have everything you need. You will do more and more good works.It is written,“ They have spread their gifts around to poor people. Their good works continue forever.”( Psalm 112:9)God supplies seed for the person who plants. He supplies bread for food. God will also supply and increase the amount of your seed. He will increase the results of your good works.You will be made rich in every way. Then you can always give freely. We will take your many gifts to the people who need them. And they will give thanks to God.

Set apart a gift for me. Take something from the soldiers who fought in the battle. Set apart one out of every 500 people, cattle, donkeys or sheep.

Do you really want to give? Then the gift is measured by what someone has. It is not measured by what they don’t have.

But suppose they do not have anyone to buy it back for them. And suppose things go well for them and they earn enough money to buy it back themselves.

Who knows? He might turn toward you and not bring his judgment. He might even give you his blessing. Then you can bring grain offerings and drink offerings to the Lord your God.

All your men must appear in front of the Lord your God at the holy tent. They must go to the place he will choose. They must do it three times a year. They must go there to celebrate the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Weeks and the Feast of Booths. None of your men should appear in front of the Lord without bringing something with him.Each of you must bring a gift. Give to the Lord your God, just as he has given to you.

But suppose she can’t afford a lamb. Then she must bring two doves or two young pigeons. One is for a burnt offering. The other is for a sin offering. The priest will sacrifice those offerings. That will pay for her sin. And she will be“ clean.” ’ ”

Honor the Lord with your wealth. Give him the first share of all your crops.Then your storerooms will be so full they can’t hold everything. Your huge jars will spill over with fresh wine.

Think about the day when the foundation of my temple was laid.Are any seeds still left in your barns? Until now, your vines and fig trees have not produced any fruit. Your pomegranate and olive trees have not produced any either.“‘ But from this day on I will bless you.’ ”
