以色列人又回到便雅憫人那裡，把全城的人和牲畜，以及一切遇見的，都用刀殺盡；又把他們碰見的一切城市放火燒毀了。

耶和華你的神交給你的所有民族，你都要把他們消滅；你的眼不可憐惜他們；你也不可事奉他們的神，因為這必成為你的網羅。

這城要完全毀滅，城和城中的一切都歸耶和華；只有妓女喇合，和所有與她在家中的都可以存活，因為她收藏了我們派去的使者。不過你們要謹慎，不可取那當毀滅的物，恐怕你們貪心，取了那當毀滅的物，就使以色列營成為當毀滅的，使以色列營遭遇災禍。可是，所有的金銀和銅鐵的器皿，都要歸耶和華為聖，存入耶和華的庫房中。”於是人民呼喊，祭司也吹角。人民聽見角聲的時候，就大聲呼喊，城牆就塌陷了；於是，人民衝入城中，人人向前，把城攻取。他們把城中的一切，無論男女老幼、牛羊和驢，都用刀殺盡。

眾人把城和城中的一切都用火燒了；只有金銀和銅鐵的器皿都放入耶和華聖所的庫房裡。

那時我們奪取了他所有的城邑，把每一座城，連男帶女，以及小孩子都全部毀滅，沒有留下一個存活的；

因為他的審判是真實公義的。他審判了那大淫婦，那以淫亂敗壞了世界的；並且為他的僕人向淫婦伸了流血的冤。”他們再一次說：“哈利路亞！燒淫婦的煙往上冒，直到永永遠遠！”

你看見的十角和那獸，都要恨那淫婦，使她荒涼赤身，又要吃她的肉，用火把她燒掉。

他們看見了焚燒她的煙，就喊叫說：‘有哪一座城能與這大城相比呢？’他們又把塵土撒在自己頭上，痛哭悲哀，喊著說：‘有禍了！有禍了！這大城啊！凡是有船航行海上的，都因這城的財寶發了財；一時之間她竟成了荒場！’天哪，你要因她歡喜！眾聖徒、眾使徒、眾先知啊，你們也要因她歡喜！因為神已經在她身上為你們伸了冤。”有一位大力的天使，把一塊好像大磨石一樣的石頭，舉起來拋在海裡，說：“巴比倫大城也必這樣被猛力地拋下去，決不能再找到了！彈琴、奏樂、吹笛、吹號的聲音，在你中間決不能再聽到了！各樣手藝技工，在你中間決不能再找到了！推磨的聲音，在你中間決不能再聽到了！燈的亮光，在你中間決不能再照耀了！新郎新娘的聲音，在你中間決不能再聽到了！你的商人一向都是地上的大人物，萬國都因你的邪術受了迷惑。先知、聖徒和地上一切被殺的人的血，都在這城裡找到了！”

你不可跪拜他們的神像，也不可事奉它們，不可作他們所作的，不可模仿他們的行為，卻要把神像完全拆毀，打碎他們的柱像。
