你們一定要殺光那城中的居民和牲畜。

要把這座城和城裡所有的東西毀滅，作為獻給耶和華之物。只有妓女喇合和她家中所有的人可以活命，因為她曾把我們派去的探子隱藏起來。你們要小心，不可私拿任何應當毀滅的東西，免得你們自取滅亡，並給以色列全營帶來災禍。要把所有的金銀和銅鐵器皿分別出來獻給耶和華，放進耶和華的庫房裡。」於是，民眾聽到號角聲時，就高聲呐喊，城牆便坍塌了。民眾便一擁而上，佔領了耶利哥城，用刀殺了城裡所有的男女老少、牛羊和驢。

以色列人燒毀全城和城內一切的東西，只把金銀和銅鐵器皿放在耶和華的庫房裡。

我們攻佔了西宏的所有城邑，將其夷為平地，殺光城中的男女老幼，一個不留，

因為祂的審判真實公義，祂懲罰了那用淫亂敗壞世界的大淫婦，為那些被她殺害的奴僕伸冤。」他們又歡呼說：「哈利路亞！焚燒大淫婦的煙不斷上騰，直到永永遠遠。」

怪獸和牠頭上的十角必憎恨那淫婦，使她赤身露體、景況淒涼。牠們要吃她的肉，最後用火將她燒盡。

看見燒她的煙，就說，『有哪一座城能與她相比呢？』他們又把塵土撒在頭上，哀傷哭泣，喊著說，『這大城啊，真悲慘！真悲慘！所有經營航運的都因她的奢華而發了財，可是頃刻間她卻淪為廢墟了！』上天啊，眾聖徒、眾使徒和眾先知啊，為她的下場歡樂吧！因為上帝已經向她施行報應，為你們伸冤了。」這時，有一位大力天使舉起一塊像大磨石的石頭扔進海裡，說：「巴比倫大城也必這樣被用力扔下去，消失得無影無蹤。在你那裡，再也聽不見彈琴作樂、鳴笛吹號的聲音了，再也找不到能工巧匠了，再也聽不到推磨的聲音了，再也看不到閃耀的燈光了，再也聽不見新婚夫婦的歡笑聲了。因為你的商人曾經趾高氣揚，你的邪術曾經迷惑萬國，你的城牆內流滿了眾先知、眾聖徒和地上一切被殺之人的血。」

不可叩拜他們的神明，不可供奉它們，也不可效法他們的行為，要徹底拆毀神像，打碎他們的神柱。
