耶和华对摩西说：“你要凿出两块石版，跟你之前摔碎的两块一样，我要把前两块石版上的字刻在上面。你要预备好，明天清早你要上西奈山顶来见我。

“要用皂荚木做一个柜，长一点一米，宽六十六厘米，高六十六厘米，里外都要包上纯金，要用金子镶柜边。再造四个金环，安在柜的四个脚上，每边两个环。用皂荚木造两根横杠，外面要包上金，然后把横杠穿过柜旁的金环，便于抬柜。横杠穿进环以后，不可再抽出来。

于是，摩西凿出两块石版，跟先前的两块一样。他清早起来，照着耶和华的吩咐把石版带到西奈山上。

于是，我用皂荚木做了一个柜子，又凿了两块石版，与前两块石版一样，然后带着石版上了山。耶和华把你们在山脚下聚会时祂在山上的火焰中向你们颁布的十条诫命，重新刻在石版上，并把石版交给我。

里面有纯金的香坛和包金的约柜。约柜里珍藏着盛吗哪的金罐、亚伦那根发过芽的手杖和两块刻着十诫的石版，
