天使回答說：「我是侍立在上帝面前的加百列，奉命來向你報這喜訊。

我聽見有人聲從烏萊河兩岸之間呼喊：「加百列啊，要讓此人明白這異象。」

到了獻晚祭的時候，以利亞先知走到壇前禱告：「亞伯拉罕、以撒、以色列的上帝耶和華啊，求你今天讓這些人知道你是以色列的上帝，我是你的僕人，我是按你的命令做這一切事。

後來，有一位樣子像人的用手摸我的嘴唇，我便開口對站在我面前的說：「我主啊，因為這異象，我痛苦不堪，毫無氣力。

天使豈不都是服役的靈嗎？他們奉差遣，豈不是去為那些將要承受救恩的人服務嗎？

一天，大約下午三點，他在異象中清楚地看見一位上帝的天使進來呼喚他：「哥尼流！」

在祂上方侍立著撒拉弗天使，他們各有三對翅膀：一對遮臉，一對遮腳，一對飛翔。

一隻在早晨獻上，另一隻在黃昏獻上。

他和我說話的時候，我伏在地上昏睡過去，他便輕拍我，扶我起來，

聽從耶和華的命令、遵行祂吩咐的大能天使啊，你們要稱頌祂！

有個撒拉弗天使用火鉗從祭壇上取了一塊燃燒的炭，飛到我面前，用炭碰我的嘴唇，說：「看啊，這炭碰了你的嘴唇，你的過犯已被除掉，你的罪惡已被赦免。」

上帝提到天使的時候，也只是說：「上帝使祂的天使成為風，使祂的僕役成為火焰。」

聽了以色列上帝的話而戰抖的人都聚集在我周圍，因為流亡歸來的人不忠。我驚懼地坐在那裡，直到獻晚祭的時候。獻晚祭的時候，我滿懷憂傷地起來，穿著那撕裂的衣服和外袍，雙膝跪下，向我的上帝耶和華伸出雙手，

大約下午三點，耶穌大聲呼喊：「以利，以利，拉馬撒巴各大尼？」意思是：「我的上帝，我的上帝，你為什麼離棄我？」

他們的翅膀向上展開，每個活物的一對翅膀與其他活物的翅膀相連，另外一對翅膀遮蔽身體。

風是你的使者，火焰是你的僕役。

忽然，有一位主的天使站在彼得身旁，監牢內一片光明，天使拍他的肋旁，把他叫醒，說：「趕快起來！」鐵鏈就從他手上脫落下來。

於是，那位樣子像人的再次摸我，使我有力量。

這些活物像閃電一樣往來飛馳。

一天，在下午三點禱告的時間，彼得和約翰去聖殿。

忽然有一隻手輕拍我，扶我用膝和手掌支撐起身體。

第二天中午，他們快要到達約帕時，彼得上屋頂去禱告。
