in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, understood from the Scriptures, according to the word of the Lord given to Jeremiah the prophet, that the desolation of Jerusalem would last seventy years.

In that year I learned from the Scriptures that Jerusalem would remain destroyed for 70 years. That was what the Lord had told Jeremiah the prophet.

这就应验耶和华藉耶利米的口所说的话：地得享安息；在荒凉的日子，地就守安息，直到满了七十年。

“你要向这地全体百姓和祭司说：‘你们这七十年来，在五月、七月禁食悲哀，岂是真的向我禁食吗？

这全地必然荒凉，令人惊骇。这些国家要服事巴比伦王七十年。七十年满了以后，我必惩罚巴比伦王和那国，并迦勒底人之地，因他们的罪孽使那地永远荒凉。这是耶和华说的。

波斯王居鲁士元年，耶和华为要应验藉耶利米的口所说的话，就激发波斯王居鲁士的心，使他下诏书通告全国，说：

诵读这书上预言的，和那些听见又遵守其中所记载的，都是有福的，因为时候近了。

我们有先知更确实的信息，你们要好好地留意这信息，如同留意照耀在暗处的明灯，直等到天亮，晨星在你们心里升起的时候。第一要紧的，你们要知道，经上所有的预言是不可随私意解释的，因为预言从来没有出于人意的，而是人被圣灵感动说出上帝的话来。

论到这救恩，那预先说你们要得恩典的众先知已经详细地搜索查考过，查考在他们心里的基督的灵预先证明基督受苦难，后来得荣耀，是指什么时候，什么样的情况。他们得了启示，知道他们所服事的不是自己，而是你们。那藉着从天上差来的圣灵传福音给你们的人，现在将这些事传给你们；这些事连天使也都切望察看呢！

并且知道你从小明白圣经，这圣经能使你因在基督耶稣里的信有得救的智慧。圣经都是上帝所默示的，于教训、督责、使人归正、教导人学义都是有益的，叫属上帝的人得以完全，预备行各样的善事。

因此，为你们的缘故，锡安要被耕种像一块田地，耶路撒冷要变为废墟，这殿的山必如丛林的高处。

上帝啊，外邦人侵犯你的产业，玷污你的圣殿，使耶路撒冷变成废墟，将你仆人的尸首交给天空的飞鸟为食，把你圣民的肉交给地上的走兽，

我—但以理见了这异象，想要明白其中的意思。看哪，有一位形状像人的站在我面前。我听见乌莱河中有人声呼叫说：“加百列啊，要使这人明白这异象。”

“当犹大王希西家的日子，有摩利沙人弥迦对犹大众百姓预言说：‘万军之耶和华如此说：锡安要被耕种像一块田地，耶路撒冷要变为废墟，这殿的山必像丛林的高处。’

唉！先前人口稠密的城市，现在为何独坐！先前在列国中为大的，现在竟如寡妇！先前在各省中为王后的，现在竟成为服苦役的人！

荒凉的城拆毁了，各家关闭，无法进入。有人在街上嚷着要酒喝，一切的喜乐变为昏暗，地上的欢乐全都消失。城里尽是荒凉，城门全都摧毁。

我就必使这殿如示罗，使这城成为地上万国所诅咒的。’”

太监回答腓利说：“请问，先知说这话是指谁，是指自己，还是指别人呢？”

我比我的教师更通达，因我思想你的法度。我比年老的更明白，因我谨守你的训词。

“当你们看见先知但以理所说的那‘施行毁灭的亵渎者’站在圣地（读这经的人要会意），

其中有耶路撒冷和犹大的城镇，并耶路撒冷的君王与领袖；因此这城镇荒凉，令人惊骇、嗤笑、诅咒，正如今日一样。

那时，我必止息犹大城镇和耶路撒冷街上欢喜和快乐的声音、新郎和新娘的声音，因为这地必然荒芜。”

你的圣城已变为旷野；锡安变为旷野，耶路撒冷成为废墟。

要以宣读圣经，劝勉，教导为念，直等到我来。

你的法度也是我的喜乐，我的导师。

我就说：“主啊，这到几时为止呢？”他说：“直到城镇荒凉，无人居住，房屋空无一人，土地极其荒芜；耶和华将人迁到远方，国内被撇弃的土地很多。

“当你们看见那‘施行毁灭的亵渎者’站在不当站的地方（读这经的人要会意），那时，在犹太的，应当逃到山上；

列国都要服事他和他的子孙，直到他本国遭报的日期来到；那时，许多国家和大君王要使他作奴隶。

求你举步去看那日久荒凉之地，看仇敌在圣所中所做的一切恶事。你的敌人在你会中吼叫，他们竖起自己的标帜为记号，好像人扬起斧子对着林中的树，现在将圣所中的雕刻，全都用斧子锤子打坏。他们用火焚烧你的圣所，亵渎你名的居所于地。
