And behold, another beast, a second one, resembling a bear. And it was raised up on one side, and three ribs were in its mouth between its teeth; and they said this to it:‘ Arise, devour much meat!’

我又看见另一只兽，就是第二只兽；它和熊相似，挺起一边的身躯，口中的牙齿衔着三根肋骨。有人这样对它说：‘起来，吃多量的肉吧！’

“看哪，有另一只兽，就是第二只，仿佛一只熊！它用一侧站立，口中的牙齿之间有三根肋骨；有话对它这样说：‘起来，吞吃大量的肉！’

其次之獸若熊、半身側立、其口齒間、啣三脇骨、有謂之曰、起、吞噬多肉、

次獸若熊、口露三巨牙、屹立於傍、有命之曰、起、吞噬眾民、

又有一獸、即第二獸、其狀若熊、立於旁、口中牙內銜三脇骨、口中牙內銜三脇骨或作有三脇骨在口銜於牙有命之曰、起、吞噬多肉、

“ Against the land of Merathaim, go up against it, And against the inhabitants of Pekod. How Babylon has become An object of horror among the nations!I set a trap for you and you were also caught, Babylon, While you yourself were not aware; You have been found and also seized Because you have engaged in conflict with the Lord.”The Lord has opened His armory And has brought out the weapons of His indignation, For it is a work of the Lord God of armies In the land of the Chaldeans.Come to her from the farthest border; Open up her barns, Pile her up like heaps of grain And completely destroy her, Let nothing be left to her.Put all her bulls to the sword; Let them go down to the slaughter! Woe be upon them, for their day has come, The time of their punishment.There is a sound of fugitives and refugees from the land of Babylon, To declare in Zion the vengeance of the Lord our God, Vengeance for His temple.“ Summon many against Babylon, All those who bend the bow: Encamp against her on every side, Let there be no escape. Repay her according to her work; According to all that she has done, so do to her; For she has become arrogant against the Lord, Against the Holy One of Israel.Therefore her young men will fall in her streets, And all her men of war will perish on that day,” declares the Lord.“ Behold, I am against you, arrogant one,” Declares the Lord God of armies,“ For your day has come, The time when I will punish you.The arrogant one will stumble and fall With no one to raise him up; And I will set fire to his cities, And it will devour all his surroundings.”

Let a person meet a bear robbed of her cubs, Rather than a fool in his foolishness.

All you wild animals, All you animals in the forest, Come to eat.

I will confront them like a bear deprived of her cubs, And I will tear open their chests; I will also devour them there like a lioness, As a wild animal would tear them to pieces.

‘ Perēs’— your kingdom has been divided and given to the Medes and Persians.”

When he looked behind him and saw them, he cursed them in the name of the Lord. Then two female bears came out of the woods and tore up forty two of the boys.

Then I raised my eyes and looked, and behold, a ram which had two horns was standing in front of the canal. Now the two horns were long, but one was longer than the other, with the longer one coming up last.I saw the ram butting westward, northward, and southward, and no other beasts could stand against him nor was there anyone to rescue from his power, but he did as he pleased and made himself great.
