馬利亞卻把這一切的事存在心裏，反覆思考。

他就同他們下去，回到拿撒勒，並且順從他們。他母親把這一切的事都存在心裏。

至於我－但以理，我的靈在我裏面憂傷，我腦中的異象使我驚惶。

於是我－但以理昏倒，病了數日，然後起來辦理王的事務。我因這異象驚駭不已，但還是不能了解。

只剩下我一人。我看見這大異象就渾身無力，面容變色，毫無氣力。

於是稱為伯提沙撒的但以理驚駭片時，心意驚惶。王說：「伯提沙撒啊，不要因夢和夢的解釋驚惶。」伯提沙撒回答說：「我主啊，願這夢歸給恨惡你的人，這夢的解釋歸給你的敵人。

他說：「看哪，我要指示你惱怒結束的時候必成的事，因為這是關乎末後指定的時期。

他就來到我所站的地方。他一來，我就驚慌，臉伏於地。他對我說：「人子啊，你要明白，因為這是關乎末後時期的異象。」

他說：「但以理，去吧！因為這話已經隱藏封閉，直到末時。

就變了臉色，心意驚惶，腰骨好像脫節，雙膝彼此相碰，

眾人一見耶穌，都很驚奇，就跑上去向他問安。

約瑟告訴他父親和哥哥們，他父親就責備他說：「你做的這是甚麼夢！難道我和你母親、你的兄弟真的要俯伏在地，來向你下拜嗎？」

「至於你，你要去等候結局。你必安息，到了末期，你必起來，享受你的福分。」

至於這二王，他們心懷惡計，同席吃飯卻彼此說謊，但計謀不成，因為結局要在指定的時期來到。

「你們要把這些話聽進去，因為人子將要被交在人手裏。」
