‘ The four great beasts are four kings that will rise from the earth.

He said,‘ The four large animals stand for four kings. The kings will appear on the earth.

“ These four huge beasts represent four kingdoms that will arise from the earth.

‘ These huge beasts, four in number, are four kings who will rise from the earth.

Four great animals came up from the sea, different from one another.“ The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings. I watched until its wings were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made to stand on two feet as a man. A man’s heart was given to it.

He said,“ Behold, I will make you know what will be in the latter time of the indignation; for it belongs to the appointed time of the end.The ram which you saw, that had the two horns, they are the kings of Media and Persia.The rough male goat is the king of Greece. The great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.As for that which was broken, in the place where four stood up, four kingdoms will stand up out of the nation, but not with his power.

from men by your hand, Yahweh, from men of the world, whose portion is in this life. You fill the belly of your cherished ones. Your sons have plenty, and they store up wealth for their children.

Then I stood on the sand of the sea. I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads. On his horns were ten crowns, and on his heads, blasphemous names.

You, O king, are king of kings, to whom the God of heaven has given the kingdom, the power, the strength, and the glory.Wherever the children of men dwell, he has given the animals of the field and the birds of the sky into your hand, and has made you rule over them all. You are the head of gold.“ After you, another kingdom will arise that is inferior to you; and another third kingdom of bronze, which will rule over all the earth.The fourth kingdom will be strong as iron, because iron breaks in pieces and subdues all things; and as iron that crushes all these, it will break in pieces and crush.

I saw another beast coming up out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke like a dragon.
