‘ Belteshazzar, chief of the soothsayer priests, since I know that a spirit of the holy gods is in you and no secret baffles you, tell me the visions of my dream which I have seen, along with its interpretation.

‘术士的首领伯提沙撒啊，我知道你有圣洁神明的灵，任何奥秘都难不倒你。请你为我解释我梦中所见的异象。

‘术士的领袖伯提沙撒啊！因为我知道你里面有圣神的灵，没有什么隐秘的事能难倒你；因此，你要把我梦中所见的异象和梦的意思告诉我。

“术士的领袖伯提沙撒啊，我知道你里面有圣洁之神的灵，任何奥秘都难不倒你！你就讲说我所看到的梦中异象和梦的释义吧！

『術士的領袖伯提沙撒啊，因我知道你裏頭有聖神的靈，甚麼奧祕的事都不能使你為難。現在要把我夢中所見的異象和夢的講解告訴我。』

‘術士的領袖伯提沙撒啊！因為我知道你裡面有聖神的靈，沒有甚麼隱祕的事能難倒你；因此，你要把我夢中所見的異象和夢的意思告訴我。

『學術士的領袖伯提沙撒啊，因為我知道你裏頭有聖神明之靈，甚麼機密的事都不能使你為難；看哪，這時我夢中所見的異象；你要把它的解析說出來。

「術士的領袖伯提沙撒啊，我知道你裡面有聖潔之神的靈，任何奧祕都難不倒你！你就講說我所看到的夢中異象和夢的釋義吧！

巫師長伯提沙撒歟、我知聖神之靈寓於爾中、秘奧無足難爾、其告我所得之夢象、為我解之、

博士長伯底沙撒、我知爾感於至聖上帝之神、凡秘奧之事、爾能明晰、無事三思、我所得之夢、其兆維何、願明以告我、

博士長伯提沙撒歟、我知爾素為聖神明之神所感、凡奧秘之事、爾無不明晰、今我得夢、爾解其兆、爾解其兆或作爾為我解之

I said,“ Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you, and no mystery is too difficult for you. Here is my dream; interpret it for me.

I said,“ Belteshazzar, you are chief of the magicians. I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you. No mystery is too hard for you to figure out. Here is my dream. Tell me what it means.

“ O Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you and that no mystery is too difficult for you, tell me the visions of my dream that I saw and their interpretation.

“ I said to him,‘ Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you and that no mystery is too great for you to solve. Now tell me what my dream means.

“ Belteshazzar, head of the magicians, because I know that you have the spirit of the holy gods and that no mystery puzzles you, explain to me the visions of my dream that I saw, and its interpretation.

“ Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, because I know that the Spirit of the Holy God is in you, and no secret troubles you, explain to me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and its interpretation.

O Belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in thee, and no secret troubleth thee, tell me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and the interpretation thereof.

“ Belteshazzar, head of the diviners, because I know that you have a spirit of the holy gods and that no mystery puzzles you, explain to me the visions of my dream that I saw, and its interpretation.

O Belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods[ is] in thee, and no secret troubleth thee, tell me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and the interpretation thereof.

saying,“ Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, in whom I know there to be a spirit of the holy gods and whom no mystery baffles, consider my dream that I saw and set forth its interpretation!

“ Belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you, and no secret troubles you, tell me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and its interpretation.

Then the king promoted Daniel and gave him many great gifts, and he made him ruler over the entire province of Babylon, and chief prefect over all the wise men of Babylon.

There is a man in your kingdom in whom is a spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of your father, illumination, insight, and wisdom like the wisdom of the gods were found in him. And King Nebuchadnezzar, your father— your father the king— appointed him chief of the soothsayer priests, sorcerers, Chaldeans, and diviners.

But finally Daniel came in before me, whose name is Belteshazzar according to the name of my god, and in whom is a spirit of the holy gods; and I related the dream to him, saying,

Behold, you are wiser than Daniel; There is no secret that is a match for you!

I saw a dream and it startled me; and these appearances as I lay on my bed and the visions in my mind kept alarming me.

As for every matter of expertise and understanding about which the king consulted them, he found them ten times better than all the soothsayer priests and conjurers who were in all his realm.

Then Pharaoh said to his servants,“ Can we find a man like this, in whom there is a divine spirit?”

Your heart will meditate on terror:“ Where is one who counts? Where is one who weighs? Where is one who counts the towers?”

When Gideon came, behold, a man was relating a dream to his friend. And he said,“ Behold, I had a dream; a loaf of barley bread was tumbling into the camp of Midian, and it came to the tent and struck it so that it fell, and turned it upside down so that the tent collapsed.”And his friend replied,“ This is nothing other than the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel; God has handed over to him Midian and all the camp.”When Gideon heard the account of the dream and its interpretation, he bowed in worship. Then he returned to the camp of Israel and said,“ Arise, for the Lord has handed over to you the camp of Midian!”

So the chief cupbearer told his dream to Joseph, saying to him,“ In my dream, behold, there was a vine in front of me;and on the vine were three branches. And as it was budding, its blossoms came out, and its clusters produced ripe grapes.Now Pharaoh’s cup was in my hand; so I took the grapes and squeezed them into Pharaoh’s cup, and I put the cup into Pharaoh’s hand.”Then Joseph said to him,“ This is the interpretation of it: the three branches are three days;within three more days Pharaoh will lift up your head and restore you to your office; and you will put Pharaoh’s cup into his hand as in your former practice when you were his cupbearer.Only keep me in mind when it goes well for you, and please do me a kindness by mentioning me to Pharaoh, and get me out of this prison.For I was in fact kidnapped from the land of the Hebrews, and even here I have done nothing that they should have put me into the dungeon.”When the chief baker saw that he had interpreted favorably, he said to Joseph,“ I also saw in my dream, and behold, there were three baskets of white bread on my head;and in the top basket there were some of all kinds of baked food for Pharaoh, and the birds were eating them out of the basket on my head.”Then Joseph answered and said,“ This is its interpretation: the three baskets are three days;within three more days Pharaoh will lift up your head from you and will hang you on a wooden post, and the birds will eat your flesh off you.”

Woe to us! Who will save us from the hand of these mighty gods? These are the gods who struck the Egyptians with all kinds of plagues in the wilderness.

The king said to them,“ I had a dream, and my spirit is anxious to understand the dream.”Then the Chaldeans spoke to the king in Aramaic:“ O king, live forever! Tell the dream to your servants, and we will declare the interpretation.”The king replied to the Chaldeans,“ The command from me is firm: if you do not make known to me the dream and its interpretation, you will be torn limb from limb and your houses will be turned into a rubbish heap.

Pharaoh said to Joseph,“ I have had a dream, but no one can interpret it; and I have heard it said about you, that when you hear a dream you can interpret it.”Joseph then answered Pharaoh, saying,“ It has nothing to do with me; God will give Pharaoh an answer for his own good.”So Pharaoh said to Joseph,“ In my dream, there I was, standing on the bank of the Nile;and behold, seven cows, fat and fine looking came up out of the Nile, and they grazed in the marsh grass.Then behold, seven other cows came up after them, poor and very ugly and thin, such as I had never seen for ugliness in all the land of Egypt;and the thin and ugly cows ate the first seven fat cows.Yet when they had devoured them, it could not be detected that they had devoured them, for they were just as ugly as before. Then I awoke.I saw also in my dream, and behold, seven ears of grain, full and good, came up on a single stalk;and behold, seven ears, withered, thin, and scorched by the east wind sprouted up after them;and the thin ears swallowed the seven good ears. Then I told it to the soothsayer priests, but there was no one who could explain it to me.”And Joseph said to Pharaoh,“ Pharaoh’s dreams are one and the same; God has told to Pharaoh what He is about to do.The seven good cows are seven years; and the seven good ears are seven years; the dreams are one and the same.The seven thin and ugly cows that came up after them are seven years, and the seven thin ears scorched by the east wind will be seven years of famine.It is as I have spoken to Pharaoh: God has shown Pharaoh what He is about to do.Behold, seven years of great abundance are coming in all the land of Egypt;and after them seven years of famine will come, and all the abundance will be forgotten in the land of Egypt, and the famine will ravage the land.So the abundance will be unknown in the land because of that subsequent famine; for it will be very severe.Now as for the repeating of the dream to Pharaoh twice, it means that the matter is confirmed by God, and God will quickly bring it about.So now let Pharaoh look for a man discerning and wise, and appoint him over the land of Egypt.Let Pharaoh take action to appoint overseers in charge of the land, and let him take a fifth of the produce of the land of Egypt as a tax in the seven years of abundance.Then have them collect all the food of these good years that are coming, and store up the grain for food in the cities under Pharaoh’s authority, and have them guard it.Let the food be used as a reserve for the land for the seven years of famine which will occur in the land of Egypt, so that the land will not perish during the famine.”

In righteousness you will be established; You will be far from oppression, for you will not fear; And from terror, for it will not come near you.

And the Lord said,“ Behold, they are one people, and they all have the same language. And this is what they have started to do, and now nothing which they plan to do will be impossible for them.Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, so that they will not understand one another’s speech.”So the Lord scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth; and they stopped building the city.

This is the dream that I, King Nebuchadnezzar, have seen. Now you, Belteshazzar, tell me its interpretation, since none of the wise men of my kingdom is able to make known to me the interpretation; but you are able, because a spirit of the holy gods is in you.’
