我便召巴比伦所有的智者来为我解梦。

便派人召来术士、巫师、行法术的和占星家，为他解梦。他们都来到王面前。

有人让你们去求问那些念念有词的巫师和术士，你们不要去。你们要去求问你们的上帝，活人的事怎能求问死人呢？

“你自幼就勤练符咒和五花八门的邪术，继续施展吧！也许会有用处，也许会令人害怕。众多的计谋使你疲惫不堪，让那些观天象、每月说预言的占星家来救你脱离将临的灾祸吧！“看啊，他们不过像枯草，必遭焚烧，无法救自己脱离烈焰。这火并非取暖的炭火，也不是人可以靠近的火。

七个干瘪的穗子吞食了七个饱满的穗子。法老醒过来，原来是一场梦。早上法老心中不安，就派人召来埃及所有的术士和博学之士，把梦告诉他们，可是没有一个人能为他解梦。
