and the satraps, prefects, governors and royal advisers crowded around them. They saw that the fire had not harmed their bodies, nor was a hair of their heads singed; their robes were not scorched, and there was no smell of fire on them.

The royal rulers, high officials, governors and advisers crowded around them. They saw that the fire hadn’t harmed their bodies. Not one hair on their heads was burned. Their robes weren’t burned either. And they didn’t even smell like smoke.

And the satraps, the prefects, the governors, and the king’s counselors gathered together and saw that the fire had not had any power over the bodies of those men. The hair of their heads was not singed, their cloaks were not harmed, and no smell of fire had come upon them.

Then the high officers, officials, governors, and advisers crowded around them and saw that the fire had not touched them. Not a hair on their heads was singed, and their clothing was not scorched. They didn’t even smell of smoke!

When the satraps, prefects, governors, and the king’s advisers gathered around, they saw that the fire had no effect on the bodies of these men: not a hair of their heads was singed, their robes were unaffected, and there was no smell of fire on them.

And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king’s counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.

Once the satraps, prefects, governors, and ministers of the king had gathered around, they saw that those men were physically unharmed by the fire. The hair of their heads was not singed, nor were their trousers damaged. Not even the smell of fire was to be found on them!

The local governors, the deputies, and the governors, and the king’s counselors, being gathered together, saw these men, that the fire had no power on their bodies. The hair of their head wasn’t singed. Their pants weren’t changed, the smell of fire wasn’t even on them.

撲滅了烈火之威力，躲脫了刀劍的鋒刃，從軟弱中得了能力，在戰爭中顯為勇猛，使外國的隊伍掉頭逃竄。

你們呢，就是你們的頭髮也都被數過呢。

你們必為我的名被眾人恨惡。然而你們的頭髮、連一根也不能失掉。

永恆主啊，你的手高舉，他們仍然不看；願他們看你為人民發的熱心而慚愧；哦，願那為你敵人保留的火吞滅他們。

使他們知道你、你名耶和華、惟獨你是統治全地的至高者。

尼布甲尼撒王差遣人將總督、欽差、巡撫、參謀、財務、司法、審判官、和各省官員、都召集了來，來赴尼布甲尼撒王所立的像的開光禮。於是總督、欽差、巡撫、參謀、財務、司法、審判官、和各省官員、都聚集了來，要為尼布甲尼撒王所立的像行開光禮；大家都站在尼布甲尼撒王所立的像前面。

所以我勸你們總要用飯；這是與你們之得救有關的。因為你們各人連一根頭髮也不至於失掉。』

永恆主我們的上帝啊，現在求你拯救我們脫離亞述王的手，使地上萬國都知道惟獨你、永恆主、才是上帝。』

一聽到這響聲，民眾都聚攏來，紛紛亂亂，不知所措，因為每一個人都聽見使徒們用聽者自己的土話在講論。眾人都驚訝希奇說：『看哪，這些說話的不都是加利利人麼？我們各人聽起來、怎麼是以我們自己生來的土話來聽呢？我們帕提亞人、瑪代人、以攔人和住米所波大米、猶太和加帕多加、本都和亞西亞、弗呂家和旁非利亞、埃及和靠近古利奈的呂彼亞區域的人、以及旅居的羅馬人、猶太人和歸依猶太教的人、革哩底人和亞拉伯人、我們真地聽見他們是用我們自己的語言來講論上帝的大作為呀！』眾人都驚奇，心裏很為難，就彼此對說：『這是甚麼意思啊？』

這三人是穿戴着外衣、褲子、裹頭巾、和別的衣服被捆起來，扔在烈火燃燒着的窰中的。

萬族之民的家啊，要承認榮耀和能力屬於永恆主，屬於永恆主；要將永恆主的名應得的榮耀獻歸於他；帶供物進他的院子。要用聖別的威儀敬拜永恆主；全地在他面前要打滾舞蹈。

王明白這些事，我對王也放膽直陳；我深信這些事對王是沒有一件能藏得住的；因為不是在偏僻角落裏作的。

今天永恆主必將你送交我手；我必擊殺你，取下你的頭；今天我必將非利士人軍兵的屍首給空中的飛鳥和地上的野獸喫；使全地都知道以色列有上帝；又使這大眾都知道永恆主使人得勝、不是用刀用矛；因為爭戰的勝敗全在於永恆主；他必將你們交在我們手裏。』
